Any idea what that MSU ML paid yesterday? I normally look but didnt. I took the +13.5 not even being aware Cook was unable to play.

+475 I think was the last number I saw and that was w/ spread at +14.5. I meant to take a flyer on it as an "if" bet off a parlay on the noon games (which hit) but I was cooking (and maybe drinking a bit) from about 11am on. By the time kickoff rolled around, completely forgot about it. Oh well, loved the game and outcome - both about as far from what I expected as could be - hit a 38:1 parlay and got a good gut full so all in all, great day.

5 teamer - IU/MD ovr, temple +155, miami +115, uofm -3.5 and oregon -4

and I had this one IU -1.5, UNC -4, MIami +115, uofm -3.5, minn 1h -3. UNC was up 14 with 3 mins to go. fumbled 2x deep in their own end and won in OT by 3. Thanks a lot carolina - 10k slipped through my fingers.

I'm a parlay junky - love the juice. lost track of how many times i've been 1 game shy (often a FG or a free throw away). I've hit a few 7 teamers over the years. Now I usually do small 2 teamers on my favorite games then do a 3 or 5 team if-bet off of them. if the 2 teamer hits and I lose the 5 teamer, i still make some $.

Lately I've had a lot of good luck during the week (doing small 2 or 3 team parlays on MNF, those tues/wed MAC games and Thurs/Fri CFB games) so by the end of the week I've built up a small war chest. Then I go for broke on Saturday with the house money. Usually I end up flat or up/dn small but when I get a little ahead, I'm taking 20:1 shots with house $ - it's pretty fun.

only thing i ever bet in baseball was overs but I don't like baseball much so I never do it anymore. I mostly bet CFB and CBB but have had some success this year in NFL - maybe because I don't care as much about any particular team and therefore am less biased. I've hit a bunch of 3 team parlays in NFL. I've also gotten over my bias for overs but definitely am still biased to favorites. First half spreads (esp patriots, panthers, whoever is playing the 49ers) and game unders (Pittsburg, Seattle, etc) have been pretty good for me in NFL this year. SMU + points for 1st half and opponent for the game has been nearly perfect - obviously those both can't both go in the same parlay but it's been like clockwork this year.

Nice work. i took iowa too. got up just under 4k on wed/thurs CFB, CBB and NFL and been going a bit nuts since then. went 2-1 twice, 1-1 and 2-0 on Friday and 0-2, 0-1-1 2-1 and 4-1 (MSU, OSU, NW 1h, UNC and FLA ML) on Saturday. The killer was on the 3 teamer, I screwed up and put in MSU, Ill and USC all for 2h but wanted NW instead of Ill - had my guy change it and the loser was the NW leg. that was almost 3k swing. Idiot!

only did 1 today - Houston giving pts, Vikes ML and Cards giving 9. Had Jets originally then switched it out for Cards last minute thinking it would be nice to be able to hedge the later game. Of course the line moved so I couldn't hedge kickoff then Cards gave up a FG to end the half so that killed the half time hedge. Have given back more than half - chasing, but still up on the week. And of course the Jets rolled...
