Stafford Update

doesnt sounds all that promising as some made it out to sound...

"It feels OK. It's sore obviously, but it's made progress since Sunday," Stafford said. "If I'm healthy enough to play, I'm going to try to be out there. It's yet to be seen if I can get to that point, but if I can, then I want to play."

what a pussy....negative MRI , he should be playing.

If he wants to shed the "made of glass" stigma, his ass had BETTER be out there...

He said he would, didn't he. I've already seen him go out there with a fkd up shoulder against Cleveland, I don't need him to convince me he has toughness and wants to play. And I'm not sure how you compare this with a "made of glass" stigma. Not like he got lightly tapped by Peppers.

He sounds fine today. He's practicing with the first team, walking and running fine from what all the reporters are saying.

Problem for me is....im not sure if I want him out there. I do, but WTF has been wrong this last 2 weeks?? I think the hits he took from the Bears rattled him. "Dump down Joey" had more pocket presence than Staff does right now!!! Maybe this sore ankle will keep him in there longer.

We haven't made the adjustments. A lot of teams have gone to a shell coverage and numerous teams have been able to exploit it. We don't have the protection or pocket presense to beat it deep, the throws haven't been accurate enough to throw right at it, so were forced to throw under it. Poor scheme, poor play by staaford, and just not enough of a run presense to force them out of it.

You either do or you don't. And Harrington didn't anything at any time better than Staff or most any QB.

Matthew Stafford - QB - Lions

After working with the first-team offense in Thursday's practice, Matthew Stafford (ankle) is now expected to start against the Broncos, barring a setback.
"He is improved today over yesterday," said coach Jim Schwartz, "and I think that he

fucking agreed.....

Stafford is going to have a huge game. Just hoping Titus Young and Burleson show up this game. Anyone know who is starting at RB?

Im thinking the Lions are going to run the ball alot this game, not sure why.

really against a D that cant defend the pass....nice logic.

You think too much, bro. Stafford will wing it against this team.

Yeah, you gotta pass and keep on passing against these Broncos. Its not like they're game planning against our run game anyway.

Its not that were thinking too much...its that weve watched the lions enough. Linehan will run twice then incomplete pass the entire first quarter. Then in the 2nd qtr hell shotgun draw then throw twice. 3rd quarter is when his "adjustments" start kicking in with crappy screen passes and a quick slant or 2 to calvin to bail the offense out on 3rd and long. 4th quarter were in full press catch up mode....shotgun, 4 wrs and stafford running for his life. Its really that simple.

Hysterical. And true. Linehan has not had a good few weeks playcalling - and part of that has been poor execution puts them in bad situations, but still...

I just hope Stafford's ankle makes him sit in the pocket more. He does his best work when he steps into the pocket and throws with good mechanics. His Scott Mitchell impersonation with the side-armed shit and Joey Harrington-esc chuck off his back foot is just awful to watch
