Well, I'll start one.

Maybe I should have started it on the Semi-Adult board though.

i almost made one earlier.

this article, is all ye need to know. unless you really go for the salacious and stupid mainstream media stuff. then you should go click on fox, cnn, msnbc, etc. etc.

some quotes I liked:
it appears that the FBI not only devoted substantial resources, but also engaged in highly invasive surveillance, for no reason other than to do a personal favor for a friend of one of its agents, to find out who was very mildly harassing her by email.
then there's this:
based on a handful of rather unremarkable emails sent to a woman fortunate enough to have a friend at the FBI, the FBI traced all of Broadwell's physical locations, learned of all the accounts she uses, ended up reading all of her emails, investigated the identity of her anonymous lover (who turned out to be Petraeus), and then possibly read his emails as well. They dug around in all of this without any evidence of any real crime - at most, they had a case of "cyber-harassment" more benign than what regularly appears in my email inbox and that of countless of other people - and, in large part, without the need for any warrant from a court.
and the irony:
there is some sweet justice in having the stars of America's national security state destroyed by the very surveillance system which they implemented and over which they preside.

but we shouldn't worry about warrantless searches... as dumbass conservatives like to point out "if you ain't doing anything wrong, ya ain't got nothing to worry about."

right?

and of course, this only applies to people (mainly minorities), not actual important people, or big business... if applied to them, the same rationale becomes police/government harassment, especially if it involves the IRS investigating tax avoidance or tax fraud.

The comedy of Petreaus is overshadowing the tragedy of Benghazi.

this administration is a big pile of crap.....Obama didnt know the CIA director had been under investigation for months by Eric Holder, lol...sure, want to buy some oceanfront property i have in Kansas

there's no ocean in Kansas, idiot.

and Broadwell .....well, chick's got a fivehead!

if the anecdote in this blog post is true, it redeems my faith in the military (a little):
For a real measure of Gen. Petreaus, go to Admiral William Fallon -- that rare military leader who had the guts to tell President Bush and Cheney he would not allow an attack on Iran ?on his watch,? thereby quite possibly saving us all from being at war with Iran years ago. Fallon, who at the time in 2007 was head of Centcom, the military command region covering the entire Middle East, once reportedly called, Petreaus, who was being put in charge of the Iraq theater, an ?ass-licking little chicken-shit? -- to his face.
