Do we play Mcquiad at point at all today? Syracuse is the tallest team in the country I believe. Their guards are really tall which always gives us problems...

As opposed to Nairn running point when Winston isn't in? It's worth considering but I think we're better served with McQuaid on the wing and he and/or Langford are going to have to knock a couple down. The team still needs to work the ball inside. Standing around the perimeter and jacking up an inordinate number of 3's is what zone teams want you to do. The team just can't get freaked out about playing that zone the way a bunch of us fans seem to be. Against Duke, MSU attacked the zone pretty well and got good looks (shot over 50% for that game), but was undone by turnovers. Limit the turnovers that could lead to easy hoops for an offensively challenged team, and it should be ok. Syracuse's zone is different than Duke's in that Duke has the shotblockers down low whereas Syracuse has the length on the perimeter to disrupt passing lanes.

I don't really have a feel for how this game will go. Syracuse is a horrible offensive team and yet at the same time they 3 guys averaging around 15ppg or better (which is basically to say that they're completely a 3 man team). The way this team has gone for awhile suggests it won't be a blowout, and when the game is in doubt in the final 5 minutes, anything can happen.

I hate these second round matchups when the team is a high seed. First round is a little nerve-wracking though usually it's against a team that ultimately you'll be able to handle. In the second round you're usually facing a team that can beat you. After that in the Sweet 16 I enjoy things much more because I usually don't have a ton of expectations after that. It's all gravy.

This lineup...I just don?t get it. Izzo really needs to play his best players this is getting really old.

Izzo is holding this team back. Just put your best players out there and get your midget ass out of the way.

Bridges as a lottery pick is the biggest joke. How the hell does no one see that??

3 travels in the last 5 minutes. It's almost comical at this point of the season.

Bridges has followed up his best half of basketball this season with by far his worst.

Winston need to get under control. He's got horrible touch on those long passes.

My fucking doofus younger cousin in Saline - who grew near Saginaw rooting for - both MI schools - reminded me I'm supposed to root for the Spartans situations such as this.

So yay woo hoo big fuckin' woop.

Go fuckin' Spartans, ya bastards.

Why are these idiots just jacking every 3 up they can???? Winston has shot at least 2 that he could've drove to the basket uncontested for a layup
