Remember this Lion Win. Everything that the Lions are are in this win. Except at least I picked a win to watch . We couldn’t Run until the second half. So that is at least better then now. We had a much better offensive coordinator. We could stop the rush but both teams struggled to stop the passing attack . Lions were in the midst of 7 game winning streak then we lost in the playoffs to the eagles . Both qbs had great games . Moon 30-47, 384 and 2 td’s 3 picks, and Scott Mitchell 30-45 4 td’s 1 int. Moon was sacked 4 times and Scott was sacked 3 times . Barry was 24-138 and one 50 yard td but on another long run he was stripped and fumbled from behind...He was Held to under ten yards in the first half.
Man we had great reciivers.
Perriman 12 catches 153 yards and 2 td’s.
Moore 8 catches 127 yards and 1 td.
Morton 7 catches 102 yards and 1td.


Now reason I say even though we won its kind of same old Lions . We were up 21-7 and gave up a punt return for a td. Then on the kick off we fumbled and Minnesota picked it up and tied the score 21-21 in a game that should have been a blow out. Lions recovered kicked a fg but we’re trailing 28-24 at half. Lions outscore cheap shot Vikings 20-10 in the second half for the win . btw Henry Thomas ex Viking was pissed after almost getting his legs cut in half on a combo block from two linemen . One went held high and one went at his ankles . Pretty sure that is illegal now . Not positive. Also Chris Carter is a absolute piece of shit. He commits a pretty bad personal foul after a lions Int. As expected the game was chippy.

Now up 6 Vikings get in hailmary range. Lions coaches use Herman Moore to knock ball down.
Moon throws it up... incomplete.

Three recievers with 100 yards in the game has to be somewhat rare maybe ? Lions should just scrap trying to pound the ball until we can get the right linemen and open up the offense and use the pass to set up the run. I wish our coaches would try this.

Those are the tough games when you get nervous on a game already played. I've been there..

Awesome game, Barry's two big 4th quarter runs probably made my Thanksgiving back then.

I thought that Mitchell was a very good QB, until Dennis Green and the Eagles discovered that keying on him and containing Sanders was the way to neutralize the Lions offense. He couldn't handle being pressured, when he couldn't hand off to Barry, and was sacked or tossed more INTs as a result.

Mitchell was not mobile at all, I remember one game in particular when he had the football and there wasn't a defender within 20 yards of him. All that he had to do was run 8 yards for a first down, while running out of bounds on his right. So what does he do? He trotted up to the LoS and spiked the football into the turf ~10 yds in front of him.
