I'm a politics junkie, I tend to watch all the debates of both major parties.

Anybody else going to be watching?

I'll be recording it. I'm still on the fence. Bernie is too much of a spender/taxer and the repubs will never work with hillary. I don't think they'd work with Bernie either, but I'm sick of these fake scandals.

I just wish Biden would jump in. He has the respect of a lot of Republicans and could be the one to create some more unity. Oh well.

Wow. I'm watching the pre-debate coverage on CNN and John King just said that Bernie Sanders is actually popular among second amendment advocates and the NRA.

From a state that is big on hunting, no surprise really.

Idk I'd have to go with sanders as being the winner of the debate, I don't agree with his positions on other peoples money and a couple of other items..do on other things, wish he wasn't such a damn commie. little surprised how much cheering shillary kept getting from the cnn crowd,.Webb doesn't really sound like a democrat, Lincoln guy = clown.. The other guy meh..nothing memorable. All in all most of the time just kinda found myself thinking my gawd we are all so fked!

Anderson Cooper: "Insert any question here?"

Hillary Clinton: "I'm a woman."

*Applause*

I didn't watch, but I see all the talk about Sanders.

I can't believe it's come to this. The republicans are in such a sorry state, I'm ready to vote for an actual socialist, or a democratic socialist anyway.

I can't say I find any one of the umpteen candidates between either party worthy of my vote. Trump has been funny but even the Murdoch-owned WSJ partner BARRON'S blasted The Donald in this week's issue, which is not typical of that publication and the GOP candidate(s).

Maybe Gary Johnson will run again as a Libertarian - that's who I voted for in 2012.

Bought and paid for by Uncle Ted Turner.

the fix is in, and they don't even care to be discreet about it.

the crazy thing is, Sanders has been fundraising really well, almost catching up to Billary. his campaign should be able to compete in this race for the long haul. I guess this means they'll have to find other ways to de-rail his campaign, besides a media blackout.

the SNL skit mocking the Democratic party debate was pretty funny (Larry David as Bernie Sanders was great), but I don't know where they're getting the idea he's only angling to be Billary's running mate. I don't think he's interested in that.

Bernie would be a shit vice president because it'd be a waste of his talents.

Bernie VP doesn't even make sense from the traditional campaign role, to bring in more voters from a certain political spectrum and/or region.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say a vast majority of Bernie supporters don't want a Republican president, they would probably hold their nose and vote for Hillary regardless. Aside from NH, that region is pretty blue already, hardly any swing states (if any).

The only advantage she would gain is a few more votes from Bernie supporters that either would've stayed home or voted 3rd party.

I think the Democratic party establishment is concerned... the thinking was if they got every other centrist dem to step aside, and kept Elizabeth Warren out, Billary could walk comfortably to the nom. But they failed to appreciate just how disliked she is, by just about everyone, regardless of their political views.

Bingo. Most politicians are really good at hiding most flaws. Hillary Clinton is a cunt and she is very bad at hiding that fact. I really, really hope she isn't my best option when it comes to the big day. I will be sick.

It's a little unsettling to see how some media sources are pushing Hillary's campaign, especially the conflicting opinions on the first debate between network talking heads and forums of actual voters. Almost feels like a WWE storyline. Add in the issues with DWS limiting the number of debates, it all feels a bit off, perception and reality aren't matching. It seems the DNC is/was more concerned with backing Hillary than supporting healthy debate and letting the people decide. Banking on people voting for her because she's not a Republican.

I could be totally off, but something doesn't feel right in this Democrat primary.

Biden just announced he's not running. Was kind of wondering what he'd being to a debate.

that's screwy; I hadn't seen that they limited the number of debates.

cable news (particularly CNN and also see this LINK) has been retro-actively scrubbing the debate coverage to eliminate any positives for Sanders.

also, the comment from Bernie about Billary's "damn email" was edited to ensure the public didn't hear his criticism of the media, just the email part of it.

Orwellian propaganda, 101.

Personally, I want him to win because I think he would actually try to govern the country for the people. Now, I'd also like him to win just to see what insane, anti-democratic tactics the media & DC establishment will use to try to keep that from happening.
