Players rub the rock every time they take the field prior to each home game. Announcing the Slippery Rock score has been a tradition at University of Michigan football games since 1959, begun by Michigan Stadium announcer Steve Filipiak.

So go ahead and post your score predictions with some supportive analysis if you wish, but leave the woofing and barking for other threads.

Mich - 0

Slippery Rock - 3

😂😂😂

My uncle played college football at Slippery Rock. But he never played against Michigan. But there is an Award with his last name on it, but I doubt it was named for him.

SRU 5, Michigan 4

I still can't find out of the city was named for any particular slippery rock.

I did learn Slippery Rock has played 3 games in the Big House, and lost all three, getting blown out in two of them.

This comes off as just wolfing and barking and back-and-forth, with no analysis at all, nor a prediction.

I don't know guys, I think we're in big trouble this week. Slippery Rock is undefeated at 9-0 with an average winning margin of 26 points. They've already beaten a team from Michigan, Wayne State 62-37 and are averaging 47 points a game. Even a top-notch nationally ranked defense will have a difficult time keeping them off the score board.

Plus, I bet Michigan has a hard time keeping their feet under them. (Oh wait, is the game there or here?)

I'm calling it:
Michigan 38
SR 41

Should we do an MSU-ILL score prediction thread, b/c it's a bye week? that might be kinda fun.
