The Official NEW Offensive Coordinator speculation and news thread

Bring Mike Hart back.

And even if not as OC, make him the highest paid RB coach in college football and give him a title like "run game coordinator"

Have we ever found out what the reason why he stepped down in the first place?

I didn't know what officially happened. I don't remember reading that he was fired, but I assumed his contract wasn't renewed. Maybe because they passed over him for Kirk Campbell, he resigned? I don't know.

He doesn't seem to be working... hopefully Sherrone can get him back into the fold. Our running game was our strength this year, but obviously not as good as last year, or consistent.

Nah. Tony Alford is at minimum a break-even. Not sure what went down with Mike but Tony did a great job with the room and in recruiting.

Comparing performance of the running game this year vs the last 3 is apples to oranges. Between the OL and the QB situation you're running into stacked boxes with safeties crashing every play and the running game still carried the offense.

No air raid offense please. Not at all EVER.

I don't want to become soft like Ohio State or Wisconsin...

But hopefully he's not wedded to some stupid buzz words or scheme, and just does his job.

From what I have heard, he fits his scheme to the players rather than the other way around (see Rich Rod). We will get a preview in the bowl game.
