get ready for the LOLZ (link):

The satirical news publication the Onion won the bidding for Alex Jones’ Infowars at a bankruptcy auction, backed by families of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims whom Jones owes more than $1 billion in defamation judgments for calling the massacre a hoax, the families announced Thursday.

Can you imagine what it would be like to have your child brutally killed in a school shooting, and then on top of that, Infowars listening retards (like, for example, tigermud) start harassing you and telling you it was all fake and you never had a kid?

This country is a sick place!

can you imagine a jury awarding $1.5B to people who got their feeling hurt? And before you light your hair on fire, no one is minimizing the tragedy these people have suffered and had to endure. Alex Jones didn't kill their kids, he said some stupid and horrible shit and probably deserves some punishment but $1.5B is obviously way over the top and insane.

since the defendant showed no remorse for his actions whatsoever, routinely ignored court orders and refused to comply with the proceedings, and when he did comply, behaved like a complete jackass, yes, yes I can.

You mean since you’re a hateful moron who doesn’t understand what a just punishment is, you can. You think cash bail for violent criminals is racist but $1.5B for someone getting their feeling hurt is justifiable.

oh, sorry for being hateful to alex jones, your hero. where are you going to get your alpha gorilla dick pills from now? so cruel of the onion to mock you like this.

also, it went beyond hurting feelings; his fans harassed and threatened Sandy Hook parents.

also I've never said anything about cash bail, not to mention claiming its racist. Now you're just making shit up to have something to say.

Talk about making shit up. Alex Jones is not my hero. I never followed him or Infowars and I also don’t take any supplements - unless vitamin C and zinc are considered supplements but I get them from Amazon.

Good try though.

even though I don’t follow him I’m at least sane enough to know he’s not responsible for what his listeners do unless he actually explicitly calls on them to take action. That’s the law but since you went to a retread law school you apparently were taught if you hate someone, there is no limit to what you can do in the name of justice. Moron.

Right, you just support guys like Brandon Johnson and every left wing DA that has made it a centerpiece of their platform.

Not too many more layers, but I guess we'll see what happened.

Lopez is a Trump-appointed Judge FWIW. And the ED Tex bankruptcy court has a super sleazy history (link), so whether something untoward occurred or dumbass Trump/Jones types are just pissed because they didn't get the result they wanted is the question.

Well? There back already

You shouldn’t lump all infowars listening retards into one bucket, most listening infowars retards didn’t and would never do such a thing.

Here's a link with more information about the auction.

And a thread from the Onion's CEO on the process and status. Sounds like he expects to prevail, if they haven't already.

Basically the judge just let the infowars guys back into court to whine about it. the trustee overseeing the auction acted within his authority.

I’ll officially predict the onion will not succeed.

Well

Well, as long as he acted within his authority (assuming that's true and not just an assumption) it doesn't matter that the rule themselves were sleezy, biased and unfair.

No one is upset because they didn't get the result they wanted, as you said above. I don't have a preferred result other than it being fair, open and transparent. This "auction" was anything but, even if they followed the rules and "acted within their authority."

We don't even know what the winning bid was, just that it was lower than the other bid. That seems totally reasonable, right? But you don't care about fairness or justice as long as it's being unevenly applied against people you hate.

the link I posted has all the information; it's not a mystery, at least according to the reporting, whether the trustee exceeded his authority, and why he accepted a lower bid.

Do I need to repeat them for you or can you read the article yourself?

I know it's not TikTok, it's from KHOU, the CBS affiliate in Houston, though, so maybe you'd rather find a social media link from some random guy that confirms your priors here, instead of just reading an account with information.

I’m not on TikTok and never have been and I already read the article. Did you? You usually don’t get past headlines which is why you’re always making a fool of yourself on here.

I’m not disputing whether or not anyone exceeded their authority. I’m questioning the rules - they’re arbitrary, subjective and totally ineffective if the goal is achieve the highest price for the assets. In addition, the process was not at all transparent - the value of the winning bid is still unknown according to the article you posted, but probably didn't read. It also clearly states that he could have allowed bidders to rebid after their bids were unsealed, but he chose not to allow them to.

The fact that it was optional and therefore means he didn’t have to allow it doesn’t make the process any less shitty or questionable or rigged.

That’s the part that you’re too thick to understand. You can repeat that the rules were followed until you’re blue in the face. It won’t change the fact that the rules were bullshit.

The Judge appears to be really going out of his way to back Inforwars here. Can't have the mouth breathers who indirectly put him in his seat getting mocked! And losing their access to gorilla mindsert penis pills, crypto scams, and other junk...

There's comedy gold to mine in Inforwars there, so even if they lose, they should start a spinoff site making fun of it.
