Borges couldn't use Denard correctly b/c Denard doesn't fit his offense. He can't use Funchess correctly b/c hybrids like him don't come around very often. he can't use Gardner in his offense because he has a skill set that differs from what he's used to.

Well shit, Al, keep fucking up until you get the 11 guys whose profiles are EXACTLY what you're looking to get! We'll wait. :argh:

A coach at an elite program figures out how to use the weapons he has and adjusts his schemes to maximize the effectiveness of those weapons. This was the major problem that I had with RR, his system couldn't adjust to the players that he had. A coach has to win with the players that he has. Elite coaches can do that. Mediocre and loser coaches can't.

I think Gardner is just a shell of the player he was. Absolutely no confidence to throw the ball and now he second guesses running the ball too. Then they wont give him any routes to gain confidence like quick slants or anything resembling a screen. Shit at this point a misdirection play involving a shovel pass would be exciting. I just dont get how Borges calls this prostyle....this looks like offenses in the 40's. We should just set these assholes up in a wing T and call it innovative. I hate Borges more and more by the week. Denard and the defense carried this team the last 2 years and now you see what a worthless coach he is.
