Cobb 8 times...last leader- Cecil...I had thought Cabrera did it once. Guess not...or not yet!

He's not a pure slugger, so usually some with a ton of home runs will have a better year. But I'll take Miguel's 1000+ OPS.

Cabrera is one of those smart hitters with Power to all fields.
In a post a few weeks back maybe the Tigers 2012 Zips forecast, they also extrapolated the Tigers players for their careers. Verlander was up to 270 wins, Cabrera had around 3200 hits, 550 homeruns, and near 700 doubles.

The year Kaline won the AL Slugging Title with a .530 he also led the league in OPS .940 He missed near a month, on a grounder to 2nd the infielder Billy Gardner threw wild to first off the bag and hit Kaline in the face and fractured his cheekbone.

Miguel is just an all around great player. He can do it all.
