Tigers 2013 Regular Season Schedule.
from the Tigers official site

Tigers open on the road vs. the twins Monday April 1st.
Tigers Home Opener is vs. the yankees Friday April 5th.

Tigers finish with 6 on the road. 3 with the twins, and 3 with the marlins.

Interesting with inter-league year round.

2013 MLB Schedule out with season long interleague.
from espn

Because there will be 15 teams in each major league for the first time, interleague play is necessary nearly every day. Since its inception in 1997, interleague play had been concentrated mostly during periods in late May and June.

End with three vs the Marlins....that doesn's sound right! Oh well....maybe they will suck!

Strasburg-Verlander? It?s possible next year.
from Jason Beck's Tigers blog

Washington is one of two National League teams the Tigers fill face for four games. They?ll have a home-and-home set of two-game series against Pittsburgh starting Memorial Day ? May 27-28 at Comerica Park, May 29-30 at PNC Park. The rest of the Tigers? Interleague slate consists of three-game series, including a visit from the Phillies July 26-28 and a trip to Citi Field to face the Mets August 23-25.

The twist, however, comes with three games in Miami Sept. 27-29, part of a season-ending road trip that begins in Minnesota.

Add up the Mets and Marlins series, and the Tigers will have two three-game series in the heart of a potential division chase which they?ll have to have their pitchers bat. It?ll be vastly different than past seasons, when they could get most of their pitchers batting practice out of the way in one June stretch with maybe a stray three-game series in May.

I'm really going to hate this...I hope the NL gets a DH soon at least.

Not bad.

2 games vs. the Nats, the rest vs. NL teams should be easy assuming the Phillies don't regroup, and the Pirates remember they are the Pirates.

Another favorable September schedule, unless things drastically change next season with those teams.

I forgot what division the Astros were moving to...AL East right?

I hate that the NL doesn't use the DH, but they can use it in American League parks, and the AL teams can't use it in National League parks,

F 'em...if they don't want to use it then they can't AT ALL any time any park,
and the AL teams CAN use it any time any park, AL OR NL.

make that rule change and see how fast the NL teams will vote for it.
f'n selig and his lackey chimps at his mlb office.

If Victor is still capable of playing catcher (even badly), then the new schedule might actually favor it.

Series played in NL parks for 2013
May 7-8 @ Washington
May 29-30 @ Pittsburgh
August 23-25 @ NY Mets
September 27-29 @ Miami

If it's still possible for him to play the position, he'd only have to play 2 or 3 games at most, once a month.

If he's completely incapable, then it doesn't matter.

Stuns me that's all we play on the road for NL. I was just shuffling through and it seemed like NL parks were litered all over but I guess not.

You know, inter-league. Well, it sucks but it is what it is but to end the season will inter-league play is just brain dead.

It was going to happen to someone.

The way it's set up there is an interleague series every day, it could be worse though, it could have been against a good team.

I like to go see the Tigers vs the Yanks. April 5th, 6th, and 7th. Break out the winer coats, I guess.
