TIGERS (26-20):

Gose CF
Davis DH
Miggy 1B
JD RF
Cespedes LF
Castellanos 3B
McCann C
Romine SS
Perez 2B

Price P Season: 3-1, 3.32 era, (1.21 whip), Lifetime against A?s 2-2, 3.69 era

A?s (17-30):

Burns CF
Semien SS
Zobrist 2B
Butler DH
Vogt 1B
Canha LF
Lawrie 3B
Phegley C
Fuld LF

Chavez P Season: 1-4, 2.89 era (1.10 whip), Lifetime against Tigers 0-3, 9.90 era

Can we avoid our 2nd 4 game losing streak of the season? A?s are currently on their longest win streak of the season at 3 games. That snapped a 90 game streak without winning more than 2 games in a row.

Tigers are 8-1 when Price starts although Price has had a no decision in his last 4 starts. The A?s are 1-9 against lefties this year.

The Tigers face journeyman Oakland starter Jesse Chavez, whose 9.90 ERA against them is his third-highest against any opponent. The A?s have only scored 6 runs during his starts. Chavez has not allowed a run in the first two innings and holds a 1.32 ERA from the sixth inning and beyond. He's given up two home runs in 43 2/3 innings.

A?s lead the majors in errors with 49. Tigers lead the universe in double plays with 51.

Tigers are tied for 1st in stolen bases with 41. Despite leading the majors in stolen bases, the Tigers rank 25th in the majors in UBR (ultimate baserunning rating), entering Monday with a -2.7 UBR, according to Fangraphs.com. That indicates that Detroit's baserunning has been worth 2.7 fewer runs less than an average team's. And for a team comprised of speed and power, that's a problem.

Tigers have now scored 2 or fewer runs in 21 of their last 39 games.

Perez again, grrrrr man I can't stand that bat of his, absolute worst hacker I have ever seen

Royals have actually lost three in a row! Be nice if the tigers could capitalize better when that happens

Twins are winning 2-0 early on. If they win tonight they'll only be a game out of 1st place. Crazy.

From A's gameday...A's starting pitchers have not allowed a run the past 3 games.

Love that speed. Single, steal 2nd, throwing error puts him on 3rd.

Not watching the game....but looking at the mlb.com strike zone it looks like the ump is calling the low strike in that 1st inning.

Well there's another gidp they going to set a damn record at this pace, really need to get more guys in motion Ceps isn't slow why keep him stationary
