Arizona Diamondbacks calling up Dallas Keuchel, who will start vs. Detroit Tigers Keuchel, 34, had signed a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks earlier this month. He had been released by the Chicago White Sox after going 2-5 with a 7.88 ERA through eight starts this season.

Joe Jim?nez has struck out multiple batters in eight consecutive appearances, tied for the third-longest streak by a Tigers reliever since 1901 and longest since Drew VerHagen, who also had eight straight outings with two-or-more strikeouts from August 11-25, 2019.

Isaac Paredes has five home runs in his last three games for the #Rays.
10 on the year over 33 games.

While with Detroit, Paredes hit two home runs over 57 games.
Proof that the Detroit Tigers still have a very long way to go in how they develop their players. The issue remains that when they trade away players, they often perform better with other teams.

Before they attempt to solve their offensive problems by adding a solid bat, they need to get to the root of the problem & figure out why more than half the team is under-performing offensively. They are on pace to plate the fewest runs ever in their history, going back to 1901.

Austin Meadows will start a minor league rehab assignment this week, with Tigers manager A.J. Hinch telling reporters that Meadows will likely start game action on Tuesday. Meadows was placed on the COVID-related IL on June 17 after testing positive for the coronavirus, but he has now cleared health protocols.

2nd weeks of kidney stones, has kept me off balance. lost 16 lbs.
But score 7 runs and lose is a pitching lost. Real simple with all the injuries pitching has been pretty good. With decent hitting team could be much better.

After a third tremendous catch in just 2 days, it appears that Riley Greene has a lock on playing CF. With Michael Pineda expected to return this week, the Detroit Tigers will need to send someone down. Who will it be?

It will be between both Castros (more likely to be Willi), Kody Clemens and Victor Reyes. But also keep in mind that when Austin Meadows returns, another player will have to be sent down, too.

It also means that things aren't looking good currently for the return of Akil Baddoo and Daz Cameron.
