Tigers - angels Game Preview.

It's been 10 days since Detroit Tigers right-hander Rick Porcello last made a start.
Will he be rusty?
Porcello didn't look too sharp in his last start, giving up a career high-tying 12 hits in 3 2/3 innings, but the 23-year-old had been lights out in his previous three starts, allowing a combined three runs in 20 innings pitched.
Which Porcello will the Tigers see tonight when he takes the mound in the opener of a four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels?
Los Angeles will counter with right-hander Ervin Santana, who owns the third-worst ERA in the American League and has allowed five or more runs in five of his last seven starts.
The Angels have dropped seven of 13 and is five games behind West-leading Texas, but the club controls the league's first wild-card spot.
Winners of seven of their last eight games, the Tigers trail Baltimore by one-half game for the second wild card and the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox by 3 1/2.
Members of the media will be meeting with manager Jim Leyland at 3:35 p.m. Stay tuned.

Rick Porcello, who has won three of his last four decisions but was knocked around in his last outing against the Twins, starts for the Tigers on Monday night as they open a four-game series against the Angels at Comerica Park.
Porcello gave up 12 hits and three earned runs over 3.2 innings in the Tigers' 7-3 win over Minnesota on July 5. The decision went to Octavio Dotel. Porcello was ineffective, but was pulled when he was hit by a line drive by Ryan Doumit.
Porcello (6-5, 4.47 ERA) went 5-0 last July.
