switch Kelly with Cabrera and you have the opening day line-up, except for Scherzer.

It may be, but the Tigers insist Young is the starting Left Fielder.

He'll DH his share, but so will Raburn, Cabrera, Prince, Avila, Boesch, and others.

So I think for opening day, even though Verlander is a flyball pitcher, Smokey goes for the plan of DY in LF, and RR at 2B.


And depending on Cabrera's condition, and if the weather is a bit cold, maybe Kelly/Worth at 3rd, and Cabrera DH.

I read a quote from Leyland implying he would play Cabrera at third right out of the gate, but yeah, we'll see.

Everytime I see Raburn or Dirks at DH with Young in left a little piece of me is going to die. This lineup does give me a littttle hope though.
