Tigers lineup
1.Austin Jackson, CF
2.Eric Patterson, RF
3.Brandon Inge, 2B
4.Prince Fielder, 1B
5.Jhonny Peralta, SS

7.Don Kelly, 3B
8.Rob Brantly, DH
9.Omir Santos, C

The guys who were on the trip to Port Charlotte yesterday are out of the starting lineup today. Miguel Cabrera was here early for extra ground balls this morning. Don Kelly will get the start at third today, then shift over to first base later in the game to get Nick Castellanos into the game.
Fun fact: Prince Fielder is 6-for-13 lifetime off Roy Halladay.

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Austin Jackson will be back in the leadoff spot today when the Detroit Tigers host the Philadelphia Phillies at Joker Marchant Stadium.
Jackson did not play in either of the past two games and spent a good portion of his time during workouts Wednesday and Thursday working on bunting for base hits and laying down sacrifice bunts.
Jackson is 4-for-9 this spring with two RBIs, two runs, two walks and three strikeouts.
The lineup has a bit of a different look to it today as the Tigers play their seventh Grapefruit League game in seven days. Brandon Inge will start at second and hit third in an attempt to get him an extra at-bat before he comes out of the game.
Eric Patterson will start in right field, Don Kelly at third, Omir Santos at catcher and Rob Brantly as the designated hitter.
Prince Fielder is back in the starting lineup at first base. Miguel Cabrera, who was on the field very early Friday morning taking extra ground balls at third, is not in the lineup.
Max Scherzer (1-0, 0.00) will make his second start of the spring. Also scheduled to pitch today for the Tigers: Adam Wilk, Collin Balester, David Pauley, Tyler Stohr and Daniel Schlereth.

Patterson HR. DET up 1-0

Who is he?

A journeyman who had one decent season with Oakland a few seasons ago. He hit another HR off Halliday and it's 3-0, Tigers.

Patterson (who?) hit another homer?!?

<s>Was it in consecutive ABs</s> edit nvm after just 3 innings.

Haha..wow....maybe DD really didn't need to sign Fielder after all, when even a couple of their invitees who are not on their 40 man roster are killing it as well, early on in ST. (I kid...I kid...)

4-0 Tigers now after 4 with the Phillies batters limited to just one hit by Tigers' pitching thus far.

Individual stats are all that matter at this point in ST, you just need an idea of who's doing what, and so far with the exception of a couple relief pitchers today, everything is going pretty damn well.

W-L don't mean jack.
