Detroit Tigers' Willi Castro may be the player most under the gun before the end of the year. The Tigers have moved him from SS to 2B to OF in order to try to find a spot where he fits. It doesn't help that his bat has failed him this year, along with his glove.

At 2B, he has a -10 defensive runs saved, ranking him #29 in MLB. He's also at a negative defensive number for SS and OF but not as bad. He was supposed to be the SS this year. It was his position to lose.

Castro came in 4th for Rookie of the Year in 2020. The Tigers keep giving him opportunities as seen with the move to the OF because they see something.
Is it just a bad/off year and do they believe he may come around in 2022?
