Tigers vs. royals Game Preview.
Jim Leyland had planned on giving Torii Hunter this game off, which is why Hunter played in both games Friday.
Don Kelly moves up in the order to bat second. He’s 4-for-7 off Wade Davis, so it could be a simple matchups decision. Andy Dirks, 2-for-9 off Davis, sticks in the sixth spot.
Tonight’s game is on MLB Network in some markets, but not many. If you’re in SoCal or Philly, where Dodgers-Phillies is likely blacked out, you’re in luck. Elsewhere, your best bet is either FSD, MLB.TV or the Extra Innings package.
Reminder: Traffic advisory for tonight.
A note on this was already on the site last night, but I wanted to add it to the blog today, too: While the Tigers host the Royals tonight at Comerica Park for a 7:08pm start, Kenny Chesney and other acts will be in concert across the street at Ford Field in an all-day event that begins at 4:30pm. Add the two sellout crowds together and, well, that’s a lot of people driving downtown for the same parking lots.
