QUESTION OF THE WEEK.
Totally Tigers

It?s time again to hear from our readers! Today is the day to let us know what you?re thinking on a selected topic.

Sunday is the one day of the week where we open up the comment parameters for you so you can get those juices flowing.

Comments today can be expanded to a maximum of 8 sentences.
We can?t wait to get your thoughts on the following topic.

We have openly praised A.J. Hinch for the progress the team has made under his leadership. But what have you observed that you would like to see him improve when it comes to his managerial role?

as sexy and damn successful the transition of Michael Fulmer from SP to power reliver has been..I do now wonder will Michael Fulmer ever stay healthy enough to be a reliable piece..cause its been years..years and years..

It's pretty eveident Zach Short has ZERO range to his left..I mean none.

Matt Manning just a barrel of issues..like a cake..taken out of the oven 20 minutes too early..

bloopers fall in..when you throw pitches down th middle..Manning has located ZERO pitches to the target..now at 8.
Manning has thrown 32 pitches..maybe 2 have been well located.
Matt Manning..47 pitches..TWO swing and misses..not a sustainable level of execution.
Manning's pitchibility is just nonexistent..when you struggle to throw strikes..it makes you afraid to throw pitches tha

It's a difficult situation..Manning needs to be here with Fetter and nieves..but honestly he isn't remotely close to being ready to compete in the major leagues..it screams how horribly Avila has let him down..by having zero player development prior to this regime.

Last year, fans kept clamoring for Detroit Tigers' Eric Haase to get more playing time. He started only 5 games. But it appears that A. J. Hinch sees and promotes Haase's talents - who just may now have that edge in catching.

Haase also plays OF. He hit 2, count 'em, 2 3-run HRs yesterday, including an inside-the-park. Third in HRs but has played one-third the games of Schoop and Grossman. Excluding Short, he's #1 in OPS.

The question to ask is why Avila, Gardenhire et al never used him last year and it took a new manager to discover what Haase brings to the table.

Detroit Tigers Akil Baddoo has passed the most important hurdle for rookies who found early success. He has adjust to the major leagues both in terms of physical skills and mental ones as well.

In the leadoff spot, he's hit .333 with a .389 on-base percentage and .813 OPS. He slashed .350/.463/.480 with eight doubles, a triple, a home run and nine RBIs over that span.
Among rookies, he ranks 1st in SB and OPS (.857), 2nd in BA(.282), slugging percentage (.486) and walk rate (12.7%) and 3rd in on-base percentage (.371). He's also significantly cut down on SOs.

The local Detroit dailies will never report it but everyone else is. Nick Castellanos got elected to the All-Star team. He is also MLB's leader in both BA and hits. The same guy GM Al Avila said had little trade value. He ended up trading Nick for Alex Lange and Paul Richan.

I'm not worried about Manning at this point, not after only a hand full of starts.

Jimenez with a leadoff walk to start the 8th inning,

not having a good feeling about this...

Jimenez gets through the 8th with 2 K's,

My bad feeling was with the wrong Tigers reliever,

Soto gives up a 3 run homer to abreu 6 - 5 Tigers,

now another walk,

Cisnero replaces Soto,

and he ends it,

Tigers hold on and win 6 - 5,

Soto out after walk. Probably that glove change.

Win, can't tell on the radio how close that catch by Grossman was. They made it sound like it could have been a hit.
