Doug Fister since All Star break- 6-2, 2.75. Only 1 R allowed in last start. Tigers- Only 6 runs total last 4 gms. TigersLive 7:30 on FSD.
Pretty standard lineup tonight against Jake Peavy. None of these guys particularly beat him up. Miguel Cabrera is 12-for-42 off him, with two home runs and eight RBIs, but with more strikeouts (14) than hits.
A couple notes to mention on Peavy: Opponents are 8-for-15 stealing bases on him this year, way down from the 78 percent rate he has allowed for his career, despite A.J. Pierzynski as his catcher most days. Second, Quintin Berry has faced him once, going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a hit-by-pitch against him on July 20. He did reach base on a hit-by-pitch.
No Adam Dunn for the White Sox again.

The Chicago White Sox haven't held a four-game lead over their closest challenger in the AL Central at any point this year.
That could change tonight.
The Tigers are now three games behind the division-leading White Sox following Monday's 6-1 loss -- their fourth straight.
Another defeat and the Tigers could fall four back with just 21 games remaining.
Can right-hander Doug Fister help stop Detroit's tailspin?
Fister hasn't found much success against the White Sox in the past, but he's coming off a seven-inning gem, allowing only one run and four hits in last Wednesday's 7-1 win over Cleveland. In five career starts against Chicago, Fister is 0-2 with a 3.52 ERA.
The White Sox will counter with right-hander Jake Peavy, who is 0-2 with a 6.92 ERA in his two starts against the Tigers since the All-Star break.
With a right-hander on the mound, Tigers manager Jim Leyland has stacked his lineup with left-handed hitters, including Andy Dirks and Brennan Boesch, who will play in the outfield corners and bat second and sixth, respectively.
White Sox manager Robin Ventura will trot out the same lineup and order he used Monday night with DeWayne Wise batting third and Dayan Viciedo batting seventh as the club's DH. Adam Dunn will miss his fifth straight game with a strained right oblique.
