The Tigers have placed RHP Jos? Ure?a on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 27, with a right forearm strain.
INF Zack Short has been recalled from Triple A Toledo.

With Rogers catching and game planning in May , Tigers are 7-3.
Without Rogers we are 5-9.

We are reaching the inflection point of the Nomar Mazara experience.. the struggles aren't new he hit 228/295/294 in 2020..something is broken..he's 188/258/294 in 2021.

Need more proof that good coaches make a difference? Detroit Tigers Casey Mize reduced his ERA from 5+ in April to 1.73 in May. And he gives credit to pitching coach, Chris Fetter.
"I gotta give credit to Chris Fetter," Mize said. "A lot of game planning, and then just telling me a lot of my strengths and weaknesses. We change up some pitch usage throughout different outings, and we game plan really well.

Tigers WIN 6-1 and have taken (first 2 games of the 3 game) the series @ home vs yanks for the first time in 7 years (2014)


Before this series started I was hoping for A win out of 3 games...while not being bombed by the bombers. New manager Hinch must really be digging this Tigers performance in all 4 areas today...SP/RP defense and offense.
