Tarik Skubal Visiting Specialist With Elbow Issue; Expected To Miss Remainder Of Season.
Tarik Skubal is set to visit orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache next week. The 25-year-old is alarmingly dealing with some form of elbow injury, although Hinch declined to speculate as to whether surgery was a possibility until the results of next week?s testing became apparent. Skubal will not return to the mound in 2022 in any event. If Surgery is necessary, we won't see Skubal pitching until 2024.

boy...hindsight is always great, but sure would have been nice to trade him the day before the trade deadline

Not sure what all this means (probably would've made a bigger stir pre-analytics) but Riley Greene has two walks in his last 108 plate appearances (with 40 Ks) covering 24 games. He was the leadoff hitter in all of them. He's slashing .221/.241/.356 in that span.

Strange outing for Manning a lot of growth in an important area. 4S FB velocity, especially up. Has ZERO slider quality, and maybe threw more really good change ups than I have ever seen him execute, and I liked the battle, but damn Matt its year 6, you got to have a slider by now.
