Titus Young released

I know the Lions wanted nothing to do with him but if I were the Lions I think I would have waited until the last minute to cut him. Let him sweat a bit and maybe a team trades a 7th round pick for him.

Titus Young was claimed by the Rams....probably a good fit for him as long as he's not a psycho. He's also playing with a former teammate in Pettis.

.....But he IS a psycho............ @_@

i'm guessing Mayhew tried to shop around for a trade but every team said "no thanks, we'll wait until you release him so that you get screwed with the cap hit along with not getting anything from us". can't blame them for that as it saves their franchise from taking any of the hit...well, until he pulls a stunt on their team and they also release him, then the jokes on them!

thats what happens when you keep a guy too long....you show your hand. Titus still had value after he punched delmas and the lions really didnt want anything to do with him after that and should have moved him. Instead management gave him another chance to fuck up yet again and you IR him for no reason. At that point the entire NFL knows youre going to dump him and you completely destroy any value he might have had. Just another example of fucking up his fuck ups.

Rams were the only team to put a claim in on him....nobody was going to give the Lions shit for him.

Smokey: Goddamn! You've got to be one stupid motherfucker to get fired on your day off

How longs it going to take Finnegan to either get under Titus' skin enough for another "incident" or show Titus that he is not even a legit #1 receiver. I dont think Titus is going to settle in STL very well. Wonder if Fisher is going to tell Finnegan to take it easy on Titus or tell him to be extremely hard on him to see if he breaks?

I dont think you can break someone who is already broken, Many have said that the best thing for Titus would have been for him to take time off and get help. Even his high school coach who talked to him recently said he is off his rocker.

Diva wrs usually have production to back up their shitty attitude. Why anyone would want a delusional diva wr that hasnt done shit beats me. That being said he'll make the pro bowl next year lol.

Maybe the Rams will get that chick from that dumbass show Necessary Roughness to give him therapy. And no, I never have watched that show as I find the entire premise to be without any entertainment value. If a player gets help, so be it, nothing wrong with that...but how the F does that become something worthy of a TV show?????

Was surprised to see it was the RAMS that picked him up, anyone remember Fisher and Vince Young in Tenn and how that tiff was not handled well? I really can't see this working out for the RAMS very well, sure he may behave for a bit but it's only a matter of time before he does to them what he did to us. Good luck and good riddance Young Punk SR.

You have no idea what they were trying to do with Titus. Maybe they were trying to unload him...none of us know shit.

And by the way, teammates fight all the time. If you played sports you'd know this. A guy taking a poke at another guy is nothing...it happens.

taking a poke is all fine n dandy. he cheap shotted delmas from behind in the back of the head.....dude is fucking loony toones. Theres absolutely no way to defend mayhew in this situation....he picked a fucking retard in round 2 and within 2 years hes off our team. When "bad luck" is an excuse WAY too often just maybe its the guy causing all the bad luck? Picking a guy with a mush brain then having him mush his brain even more a couple years later isn't bad luck. Picking a retard and then watching him go full retard 2 years later isn't bad luck. Is picking a smaller slot WR with previous knee injuries and then he injures his other knee really bad luck? Is picking a 3rd rd cb and moving him to safety considered bad luck when he doesn't pan out? How about picking a a DT that was a top 3 lock all year but then he dropped on most everyones board due to injury concerns...then hes injured the first 2 years of his career....is that bad luck?

ps I played sports all thru college....none of my teammates ever punched each other.

Defend Mayhew?? Here you go again..lol.

You were at the fight between Delmas and Young? You saw what happened? No, you didn't. NONE of us know what happpened. Not defending Titus because he's fucked, but neither YOU or I know what was said between the two. To me, that incident was a non-story at the time. Another guy who had a solid rookie campaign. Too fn bad he's a looney toon...nobody could have predicted this...wow.

The Best pick was a gamble. Mayhew gambled and lost, but you can't sit there and say that Best wasn't a game-changer because he was.

The Broyles pick was a steal if you ask me and many others agree. You still don't get the pick and you probably never will. He was drafted to replace Burleson one day and also probably because they forsaw what Young could have been, a fn jerk lol. He (Broyles) was a stud in college. As for him hurting his other knee...yeah, i do think it was bad luck. I can't wait until this kid is healthy because i think he's special. He's 1st round talent for fun.

Spievey. He is what he is. I believe when they drafted Speivey, Schwartz really wanted a Safety but never got his guy. Spievey is nothing special, but i've seen worse.

As for Fairley, he's a beast. I don't remember anything about his injury concerns coming out of college. The only thing i remember is that he supposedly had a bit of an attitude and wasn't a hardworker at times. But he was another guy who killed it in college and won many awards and was a top 3 guy like you said, with talk of him even going #1. He slipped in the draft because he came to the combine out of shape and lighter than he normally was. He was another steal where we got him. It looks like he's starting to smarten up and play like a monster like he's supposed to. He has a lot to prove but i love the thought of him and Suh growing next to each other.

Mayhew drafted playmakers. I think he's hit on Fairley and Broyles for sure. They just need to stay healthy. Here's hoping they do....
