Scroll down to the Cass tech finish on the road . 27 yard pass at the buzzer to win the game. I guess lead changed hands three times in the last 1:21.. wow .
Both of my younger brothers attended current #10 Warren De La Salle HS, but back when it was still located near Conner and the City Airport in Detroit...hence the team name of "Pilots". I didn't, b/c back then it was a boys only school, and I wanted to see T&A in our nearby co-ed parochial HS. But it closed after 9th grade, so I finished HS by attending the public Denby, which was pretty far away, and no school buses.
My closest brother in age was co-captains on the Pilots varsity football team, he could have gotten a sports scholarship to UM like his co-captain Chris Godfrey had, who eventually played on UM's Oline in college in the early 80s, then later played OG for the NY Giants, and wound up winning a SB championship with them in '86.
