Lions get Ngata

Seahawks get Jimmy Graham and a 4th rounder for Max Unger and a 1st Rounder

Eagles send Nick Foles to St. Louis for Sam Bradford.

The NFL has lost it's mind and suddenly went trade happy MLB style.

Pretty rare to see player for player trades in the NFL too. Normally it's player for picks.

Heard it was for a fourth and fifth. He's no Suh but you couldn't ask for a better plan B. His cap hit is $16M though, does that hit all go to us?

8.5 to Detroit. 7.5 is dead to Baltimore. He would have cost Baltimore 16 million.

Hopefully this guy doesn't walk next year as well but at the same time, I hope they stick to not overpaying DTs.

That's nice. Good plan B.

Nice. Good deal then, even as a possible one year bridge.

Let's hope it's not a 1 year deal if we gave up a 4th and a 5th for him.

If it turns out to be a deferred picks or less than that, I'm okay with it, but you can get starters in the 4th round. We got Sammie Lee Hill in the 4th round, and he was a solid DT for us for a few years.

You can but they're still risk picks and you can't predict a starter round 4.

Don't we have an extra 4th this year?

Thank you Mayhew for making a solid move.

Seconded. He saw last WC loss and the momentum we lost after with two lost seasons. We can't take another step back or he's out and our window may have closed, certainly on guys like CJ.

Yep, just checked. We have the 11 and the 33 of the 4th round.

Can't trade the compensatory, so we gave up the 111th overall in this deal. I can live with that.

Schefter just reported that we pick up a 7th rounder along with Ngata.

Even if its a 1 year and done deal......if we draft a DT high we might be able to maintain our defensive output while getting good output from out Dline.

I like it. Either way.

1 point.....Mayhew.

Maybe 1 1/2 points.
