Trent Richardson to Win heisman

I honestly think he will win just simply because of 2 things. 1 he is the only person on the list playing for NCG and the Heisman honestly seems to have to more to do with overall record than anything. 2. Because of SEC bias, this one is simple because he plays in the SEC (the best conference) he get the award.

Trent will probably win it and good for him but the fact that RGIII won't win it is a complete crock of shit. He has been hands down the best player in the country the entire season and the numbers he is putting up are just outstanding running and passing the ball.

It makes sense that a player participating in the NC game wins it. Just another tool to over-hype the final game.

Luck will win. Voter's will decide to reward him for coming back. It's a good story. College football needs more of them.

Richardson is a clear 5th in my mind and that classic media-hyped token candidate. RG III, Luck, HoneyBadger & Ball are all more Heisman than Richardson.

But the Heisman is a complete and total joke anyways. You'll have all the fucktard SEC fans voting for him just because they're still trying to win the civil war.

I always thought Lamichael James should have been a finalist, that dude from LSU got suspended a game and there considering him a Heisman candidate, what the fuck is up with that?

I thought just the fact that Denard didnt get invited last year showed how to even be considered for the award you have to be on a team that is winning. I honestly think the reason that RG3 will not win the award is simply because his team has 2 losses right now and is not in a BCS bowl game. I believe that RG3 should probably win the award and that Ball should probably be invited to NY at least but none of will happen. Do you think Woodson would have won the award if UM was 9-3 that year or if Peyton and the Vols were playing for a National Title at the end of the year?

If my goal was to be an nfl star I wouldn't really care about it. How many heisman winners actually turn out to be something special.

Cough jason white cough.

Yeah, but the reason Michigan wasn't 9-3 was specifically because of Woodson ...hence the Heisman. Manning, despite his Downs Syndrome, couldn't even beat Florida once in four years.

The Heisman is stupid - it so rarely goes to the "best" player and so often is driven by video clips and ESPN, it's lost so much.

I hope RGIII wins but then again, that would virtually seal his fate as an NFL flop.

Considering about half go on to have good to great careers...I'd say they care about it. You don't need to win a heisman to have a great career in the NFL, but it doesn't hurt. To be called the greatest college football player of the year is a huge honor.

Barry Sanders won it then the next year lost it to an NFL flop.

With complete objectivity, the last true Heisman winner was Reggie Bush (houses and ca$h notwithstanding) and before that, Charles Woodson.

All the others - as pirate Mike Leach has said - are BCS Title game MVPs, so why bother?! Just wait and call it the Title Game MVP instead.
