so, in line with the billionaire class's wants and dreams, he signed that horrible tax cut.

BUT contrary to their wishes, he's apparently going forward with his tariffs, his trade war with China, and renegotiating NAFTA.

on defense, he jumped right into big time arms sales, going to Saudi Arabia and selling them tons of bombs, missiles, planes, tanks, drones, etc. and arms sales have really jumped under him (though the US already lead the world in annual arms since Clinton's days).

BUT he's going against the generals and insisting we pull out of Syria NOW, (link). he also criticised the whole Middle East war effort saying we've spent $7 TRILLION there in the last 15 years and got nothing for it (he's right).

I guess he's more or less consistently bad on immigration and criminal policy, so far at least.

I still suspect they'll all push him where they want on defense and trade in the end, and these 4 (or god help us 8) years will just be all bad in the end.

Oooo! Oooo! I got one for that!

The FBI is all over the place. Or at least they're at the office, home, and hotel of Michael Cohen.

(I need a quick lesson on the extent/limitations of attorney-client privilege.)

Trump just called the raid an attack on the country.

He says it's unfair. He's been president for what feels like a long period of time. They've beat ISIS. The stock market was way up, but it dropped on this news, and very biased people are only looking at what he did and not Hillary.

Let’s put two and two together here, trump says not long ago we are going to be pulling everybody out of Syria soon, next thing ya know we have another chem attack and the war mongers are back in from of the TVs again pushing for war again in Syria. Has anyone seen any proof of this chem attack? That footage from a hospital is suppose to be the proof? Not like they haven’t staged stuff like that before over there in the Middle East bogpit

The war ships are on thier way trumps say 24-48 hours we will respond and In my humble honest opinion this is going to be a huge mistake.

kinda the problem with having a career fraud in office... they have PLENTY of dirt on him, and therefore leverage against him.

they're just "gently" reminding him of it, and he'll cave because that's the kind of guy he has always been.

we still had a better chance under trump than we would have the alternative. Deep state wins in the end still I guess. sad..it's not good. trumps got the war hawk Wilfred Brimley sitting next to him now. If it ain't WWW3 it'll be the witch hunt tearing the country apart at the seams.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) sounded the alarm against the FBI raid conducted on President Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen, saying all Americans are exposed to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s abuse of power.

“Going after someone’s personal attorney is a great overstep, I think, in the authority of the prosecutor,” Paul said Tuesday on FOX. “And, this is why I have opposed, really, having special prosecutors for almost anything, because I think they abuse their authority. So I think Mueller has abused his authority.”

The Kentucky senator warned Trump critics who excuse Mueller’s abuse of power should rethink their convictions, because they aren’t immune to that abuse of power either.

“I would warn people around America who don’t like the president who say, ‘Oh, this is just fine because it’s against President Trump’: This is an enormous power that can be used against anybody,” he said.

“This is about enormous power, prosecutorial power, but also power in the intelligence communities. We have to rein this in, or every American citizen is exposed to this kind of abuse of power.”

“Remember what Chuck Schumer said a couple of months ago? He says, ‘If you cross the intelligence agencies, they can screw you six ways to Sunday,'” he added.

Trump is correct in characterizing Mueller’s investigation as a “witch hunt” based on his far-reaching subpoenas and indictments that aren’t related to Russian collusion, said Paul.

Really this is a wide-open — the president’s right: it’s a witch hunt — but it’s a wide-open thing; it’s a mistake to ever have these special prosecutors,” Paul concluded.

The FBI raided Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen’s office in Rockefeller Center on Monday, seizing personal and financial documents in the hopes of collecting evidence of “bank and wire fraud.”

Whether or not he abused his authority depends on what evidence of a likely crime they have. Until that is known, you can't say if it is or isn't an abuse of power.

I don't think anyone - other than the FBI themselves - even knows the point of the raid.

so to argue about "overreach" and whether the attorney-client privilege is even applicable right now is meaningless.

There is the possibility that Mueller is just doing his job, doesn't have an end goal other than figuring out what the Russians did and who helped, and just found enough evidence that this lawyer broke the law that he felt he had to pass it on to the FBI.

On the other hand, if he is gunning for Trump, it may be that the point of raiding Cohen in a way that has attorney-client landmines all over the evidence isn't to get at that evidence or flip the lawyer (if that's even legal), maybe he's just chipping away at Trump's inner circle. Every pawn counts.

So today instead of getting out of Syria, we're going to bomb Syria instead.

Problem is, Assad's primarily rival is ISIS, who we are also bombing, and whose ass, according to Sarah Palin, Donald Trump is going to kick.

What other country tells the enemy when we are going to attack like Obama is doing with ISIS. Whatever happened to the element of surprise?

WOW! he folded even quicker than I thought he would on Syria.

and now he's told his people to look into rehabilitating the TransPacific Partnership (TPP) deal, his big show of getting tough on globalization and not shipping more American jobs overseas (link). That didn't even take a whole week.

He is totally spineless. And so dirty he can't stand up to anyone because he's so vulnerable to blackmail. what a worthless human being

The MAGA crowd will end up just as fucked economically as if they had voted for Hillary, Rubio, Cruz, or JEB.

at least they got a guy who refuses to condemn Neo-Nazis though...

Someone put together a set of links to articles about all the events related to the Russia investigation, and these are just the things we know about.

Okay, they've been investigating him for over a year.

we already know that he's dirty as hell.

by "colluding" though we're supposed to honestly believe that a guy who would put Russian interests ahead of the USA would be president?

And what is meant by "colluding" anyway? Like he's sending the Russians state secrets? Fighter jet plans? hacking US computers for them? this is all meaningless.

We KNOW the NSA already reads and stores every electronic message sent - email, text, voice, you name it - and if you had any doubts about that, Snowden's revelations should've ended them. So I'm pretty sure the FBI, CIA, Secret Service, NSA, and Pentagon know every single thing Trump - and EVERYONE connected to him - ever said to a Russian. And the president is surrounded by aides and spooks 24/7. he can't take a piss without everyone knowing about it. It's absurd to believe he would still be president if he was actually a threat to the US government.

But, this low-level, continuous investigation sure is useful for keeping him in line... (and profitable for his lawyers). he'll govern exactly as they want, and is no threat to them whatsoever.

Look, he publicly said he wanted out of Syria, and it was a waste of money. Was it even two whole days later, he's tweeting threats to attack Russia and bomb them & Assad?
