Unofficial Michigan vs Duke Thread

Looks like UCLA. I don't think they'll hang with Kansas. Need a good bounce back win tomorrow.

I'm sure it's been covered, but Austin Rivers is a travelin motherfucker. I lost count the number of times he left both feet when starting his dribble...only got called once of course.

Not trying to really rip him, but Vogrich is our glaring weak link. Can't afford to have people get in foul trouble and have him play extended minutes.

Agreed. I wonder how good Stauskas is..

his shot has been terrible. he's not setting his feet and even his shooting motion looks awkward. Kind of reminds me of those kids in gym class that could shoot threes but couldn't dribble or make a layup.

Duke doesn't travel. They actually don't even have to dribble. It's in the NCAA handbook and every ref is made aware at the beginning of each season.

I saw quite a few from others as well. With out the NBA they have declared leniency on the official rules..

i don't understand why brundidge isn't playing. the kid is a scorer. I find it hard to believe that vogrich is better than brundidge.

If there's one thing I will take from this game, is that Michigan found a PG for 4 years. I doubt he will leave for the NBA in his college career, and he looks like he will be a stud.

Vogrich is the backup 3 for the most part.

If he's hitting I think Vogrich is fine for a 7th or 8th man. If he's not....

But yeah, Stauskus seems like the real deal. Vogrich isn't going to sniff anything over 15mpg in his career.

He's a small slasher.... Against a gangly Duke team he would get blocked everytime.

If they win tomorrow this trip is an absolute success. Beat a top 10 team, showed they could compete with one of the most talented. The question of legitimacy post-Morris has been answered.
