USA has had 2 great chances and whiffed damn it. Gotta put those away. Joey totally whiffed on a shot he needs to freaking bury.

I can’t stand the back pass to Goalie. I know teams use it a lot but I just can’t stand it.

Third chance USA misses as Mexico goalie makes a gaff and USA can’t put in a bad angle shot.

Halftime score is 0-0 . USA has had 3 real decent chances, and one if the three by Altidore needs to be buried. The other was a nice save by the Mexico goalie.

Mexico has had 2 real nice chances and one above that was close.
Possession is 53 percent Mexico to 47 percent USA. Mexico has 8 shots 2 on goal. USA has 5 shots and 2 on goal. Fouls are 9-6 in favor of USA. No yellow cards yet.

USA header clearly beats the Mexican goalie but is headed to safety by a Mexican defender sadly. Ball was going in. Same old crap the USA just can?t finish verses
Mexico.

USA is a turnover machine in the second half. Turnover after turnover. Playing the ball short from our goalie just is asking for a bad mistake to happen.

USA makes two changes Altidore day is over. Kind of early at 60 and 64 minute mark were the changes. Mexico is dominating possession in the second half, and it is only a matter of time if this keeps up they will score.

Only a matter of time with how bad the USA is playing in the second half Mexico scores at
73:00 minutes mark. 1-0 . Game over the way USA is playing. Embarrassing second half so far by USA. God the men suck so bad at soccer.
So many chances missed by the USA. But that is USA men?s soccer. When they play above average counties they have trouble scoring. Altidore?s Miss was embarrassing in the first half.

Women step up and win when it counts. Men gag like they always do when something is on the line. Yeah it?s a minor cup but America men just can?t score verses the top fifa ranked teams. They had so many chances to score tonight and just can?t finish.
Plus they always seem to choke verses Mexico. Now 1-5 in Gold Cup Finals verses Mexico. Btw Mexico is ranked 18th USA is ranked 30th but neither is very good in World Cup games.
But USA is way worse.

USA coaches game plan of passing short out of the backfield by the goalie is the reason they lost. USA turned the ball over time and again in the second half by passing like this.

So Michael Bradley is done after that, right?

... Right?

I?m sure he wasn?t the only one turning it over but we may as well go total youth movement and get younger kids playing time. Every time I watch Altidore in a big game he never scores and always misses the net. Top players bury that.
Wish we had a better attacking style offense. Top countries just expose USA . I just don?t understand why we can?t find any goal scorers verses the better teams. So many chances wasted. God the slow build up from goalie is just maddening. So many turnovers. You could see them coming time and again.

It's not even just the turnovers. I honestly don't understand Bradley's role on the team.

He's not a good enough passer to be a lynch pin for possession.

He lacks the speed to keep up with play and stay in position.

He lacks the skill to create his own space.

Yet they trot him out there every single year over everyone else. I don't get it.

Despite not being able to finish, Altidore had some really good flicks and passes. I'm not a big Jozy fan but that was one of his better games.

Sounds like a mind-numbing grind of a loss.

It's frustrating that we finally have some better talent, and we're squandering it with poor personnel decisions and management... totally self-inflicted wounds.

but according to the ESPN summary, Berhalter subbed him out and we played worse.

hoping Berhalter demonstrates an ability to learn. Hope he does not go the way of Klinsmann, and make personnel decisions a bigger story than the games themselves.
