Kind of agree but it should never be this bad - 7 turnovers at this level against a perennial basement dweller. Ball security should be one of the basics even a bad team keeps under control. Muffed punts, fumbles, interceptions not to mention the on-sides kick no one was within 5 yards of- they were careless with the ball in every aspect of the game today.

What I don’t get is if we are so willing to have an army of guys carry the ball, why do we not bring in another QB - Lombardi is a turnover machine with accuracy and decision making issues. Is he really that much better than everyone else in the depth chart that he can’t be yanked?

Agreed. Going for it on 4th and 2 down 8 with 3 mins left in the 3rd is a highly questionable in-game strategic move. Too early to draw any conclusions but he’s not off to a good start on any aspect of the game.

Maybe the two turnovers and the missed tackle on an 8 yd out pattern tricked him into thinking the offense had the momentum. But going for it on 4th and a long 2? Take the points and make it a 1 score game with 18 minutes left. I would have been much happier if ran a fake FG than relying on our line to get 2 yards up the middle.

We’ll have to wait and see if unlike John L and Bobby Williams he’s able to maintains discipline and limit the number of arrests when they’re 1&5.
