Kershaw 6.2 IP 8 ER.

Kershaw has a historic season and shits the bed in the opening game.


Crazy that these 2 pitchers would give up 14 earned runs.

Mattingly was nuts not yanking Kershaw way earlier that inning...obviously, no longer having his unhittable stuff....ya think?

Yeah I was watching Sportscenter last night and saw they were hitting him hard that inning. I understand to a certain point though. If you are Mattingly you keep thinking I know he'll get the next guy out.

ESPN also said in 5 September starts each, Wainright had given up 6 runs in those starts and Kershaw 8 runs in those 5 starts.

And Kershaw became the first pitcher ever to give up 7 or more earned runs in consecutive playoff starts.
