Warford and the Line

The bigger question should be how do you think he and the line are doing?

1 sack charged (3 total), 9 hits and 17 hurries in 124 dropbacks. Great job Oline.

Run blocking needs a bit of push from the last 2 weeks but Bush back will help.

Warford only 1 Qb hit in 3 games. Great pick Mayhew (not Xanders).

Oline was going to be the key to the season and they are playing awesome right now.

Warford 3, Ansah 6 in Kipers rookie rankings.

Lions place two on Kiper's Rookie Rankings
September, 26, 2013
Sep 2611:20AM ETBy Michael Rothstein | ESPN.com Recommend1Tweet5Comments0EmailPrintALLEN PARK, Mich. -- As each week progresses, Martin Mayhew's 2013 rookie class looks better and better.

He has pulled at least three starters out of his draft picks in Ziggy Ansah, Larry Warford and Sam Martin, found a talented undrafted free agent contributor in Joseph Fauria and has a semi-starter in cornerback Darius Slay.

Those picks are starting to gain recognition as two of them -- Warford and Ansah -- are now in the top 6 of Mel Kiper's latest rookie rankings.

Warford, coming in at No. 3, has played every snap in the first three Detroit games at right guard and is showing signs of being an effective lineman for the rest of his career.

Ansah, at No. 6, has 11 tackles and a team-high 2.5 sacks in his first three games with Detroit. He has proven a nice complement to defensive tackles Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley. The defensive end is the highest drafted player on Kiper's list.

Check out the full rankings here.

In other news Gosder Cherilus is now the picture of discipline in Indi. No false start or holding penalties in the first 3 games.

Coaching....?

Last year he did pretty good, 5 False Starts, 2 Holding, 1 Unnecessary Roughness, 1 Tripping. He got a bad rap early and it was justified but he improved every year he was with us and is one of the only FA that I can think of that was trending upward and left because we couldn't afford him.

I feel Warford is a legit starter making a traditionally weak offensive line a strong one... but I am not sure how I feel about feeling this way.

Ill feel better about it when we string together a couple quality run games.

That was very disrespectful. Can one of the managers please remove the post

I feel kinda bad for the kid Alex.

I do think though Alex, some of what was done over at espn gave you a rep with some here.

and...from what I used to read when I went back on occasion, once every week or two,
After most of us left, you stayed there with the other 5/10%, and there just seemed to be some digs and snide remarks that were unprovoked by some who didn't post anything derogatory to you. I also remember some posts from you saying that several posters had several alias screen names,
I don't think all that sat well with them,......

but maybe if you don't do it here, as you did initially, maybe and hopefully they will start to respect you and some of your apparent sincere questions.

That is what I get out of it right or wrong.
