What happened to Larry Warford and the Detroit Lions Offensive Line?

Wasn't it an aggravated assault charge or two.. or three?

He was/is an asshole, I do remember that. Figured there had to be something else to be the 3rd tackle off the board, he was rated #1 on a lot of boards.

Upon further review, the ruling on the field is overturned....

"Lewan pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges in a Washtenaw County district courthouse on October 30, 2014. Lewan pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly and disturbing the peace charges. One count of aggravated assault and two counts of assault and battery were dismissed in the plea deal. Lewan allegedly assaulted two Ohio St fans outside of the Brown Jug restaurant during the early morning hours of December 1, 2013. U-M had lost to OSU at Michigan Stadium on November 30."

It was OSU fans. That shouldn't be an assault. That should be a public service.

Please read this thread. Some Nostradamus shit going on and some really hilarious reactions across the board. Mayhew, seriously just let Lions fans crowdsource the pick in years to come.

What a dark, dark day that was. I laughed my balls off to LKP's reaction to the pick. Was also pleased that I hated every ounce of it, as did most of the board. I love your crowdsourcing the pick idea.

*edit* For those too lazy/busy to look through:

LKP:
Love the pick. Dynamic offense now. Both tes get plenty of snaps and compliment each other well. See how saints did it last year. Down the seam nightmare

But we will see how dennard, Donald, ha ha, beckham and fuller end up. Two in division

You know what's sad? 9.4 yards per catch, Calvin Johnson. Add in Tate who seems to disappear for big portions of each game.. Just not right.

Tate disappears from the gameplan, hints why he's upset at coaching/playcalling. It's not Tate. They need to be more predictable(sounds crazy) when it comes to Tate. Let him try to beat the defense with routes that he has success usually. Dont they have personnel that collects obtuse stats like that? For example, what routes a wr usually gets seperation, etc. Not being able to utilize Tate, and Calvin might have a lot to do with over thinking playcalls. Calvin having success should be an easy feat.

This article looks spot on and perfect now. Cooter comes in, simplifies the blocking scheme, and all of the sudden Stafford has more time and is putting up really good numbers. Lombardi tried to fit a square peg into a round hole and it didn't work. Wish Caldwell would have fired that bum 4 games sooner.

I'm still not ready to appoint this guy as the second coming. Came in the 2nd half of the season against mostly inferior competition. Near the end of Lombardi's time, I saw some praise on this board for his FINALLY adjusted gameplan.

But the success this offense had came when the team was finished against bad competition. If a new GM comes in and he's let go as part of the overhaul, I won't shed a tear.

Second coming no. It's less an anointment of Cooter and more of an indictment of Lombardi. A first time OC shouldn't be able to step in and completely turn around an offense mid season, I don't care if the schedule was soft. They from dog shit to strong almost over night. That looks REALLY bad on Lombardi.

I won't lose sleep if the new GM shows Cooter the door, not like I will Austin.

That's exactly what he did though. Stafford is the best I've ever seen him. Call me crazy, but I want to see a full year of a Cooter lead offense. All Stafford needed was a little Cooter, that was his problem. ;)

Or a weaker schedule. I'm okay with Cooter just because another OC for our QB would probably make it tougher.

But to say Lombardi failed, while going against Seattle, Arizona, Denver, KC etc is a bit unfair.
