Whitecaps win series 2-0

Playing the Great Lakes Loons tonight in the Quarterfinals. Best of three . Opening game in west Michigan . Loons were 24-44 in the first half of the regular season but had a 36-33 second half to get in. I have no idea how the whitecaps got in with their record. Anyway they lead 3-0 in game one in the bottom of the sixth. Make that 6-0 after a bases loaded double.

Whitecaps win game one of the best of three series 6-0.

Final score was 2-1 in 10 innings . Caps struggling all game tied game in the ninth with a two out single . Then took lead in the top of the tenth with a single , and had to survive a dropped last out into a double before a ground out ended the game. They have played the Loons three times in the post season and this is the Caps first time they have beaten them in a series. They are on to the final four teams now.
