Saw episode 1 of Sasha Baron Cohen's new show. I think it's probably just as good as his old stuff, but we can't see it that way because we're no longer shocked by the crazy BS he exposes. If you could send this show back in time, I think it would be received as well (and criticized as much) as his old stuff was, but today, I don't think it will receive as much attention.

I actually didn't know who he was until the Palin innocent .. Still wouldn't be able to pick him out of a lineup. It seems sketchy posing as a vet in a wheelchair.. I think people look past it because, well it's Sarah Palin.

That wasn't part of the first show, but that character interviewed Bernie Sanders. Very good makeup job. I should try to look up more on how exactly he implied he was a vet.

As far as I can tell, Palin hasn't specified exactly what was said. In response to the Cohen thing about serving with the United Parcel service, she posted a response to facebook that included this: "CBS/Showtime: want me to share more about the unethical and perverted deception you’ve perpetrated on the public?"

He said in his response to her that he was a veteran of "the service"... and clarified he meant "The United Parcel Service."

Don't know, don't watch. Though from what I saw was he mentioned United Parcel after Palin, when asked about it. Nonetheless, I don't really care.

for some reason this reminded me of the time in college I was leaving a house party with my friends; one of them was USMC ROTC, and had his company t-shirt on.

he had done something horrible in the house, like take a dump in the bathroom sink or intentionally flood the toilet or something, and as we were leaving, one of the drunk guys who lived there stopped him and kept going on and on about how much he respected him for doing what he was going to do and fight the terrorists for our freedoms. It was hilarious.

Like... he just took a dump in your sink!

For some reason my Showtime on Demand isn't working right now.

It's being re-shown in a couple hours; if I can't get it on demand before then I have it set to record.

Yeah I heard this dude being interviewed by Peter Tilden on 790 KABC today.

It was an interesting interview and at the end of the interview Tilden referenced the Trump supporters in the south In the first segment who Cohen went to visit as an NPR liberal Who claimed his wife had had an affair with a dolphin, And they caught on that there were some kind of prank but they kept in it because it was funny-I think that’s happened with Borat and other shit that Sasha Cohen has done in the past.

So Tilden asked the guy “did you consider playing on?” And the guy said “no way man-I sell guns. I don’t have time to play games.“

I believe some people catch on to varying degrees and convince themselves later they figured out more than they did. Unless they do something that really harms their reputation and they sue him. At this point, I feel like he should focus on famous people and avoid people that aren't seeking publicity.

I saw an interview with the guy and he seemed to "get it" but still not "get it." like he understood Sacha Baron Cohen wasn't who he said he was (although he might think Borat was a real person?), but he doesn't get why he's being mocked.

Kinda reminded me of the Right Wing commenter who took an Onion article about abortion literally.

You know those signs they put up in restaurants or mom and pop shops to warn clerks and staff not to serve someone?

All establishments politicized by dumb culture war shit, like Gun shops & ranges, Republican Wedding Cake bakers, and all of the "Freedom Caucus" types need to keep a picture of Sacha Baron Cohen in his various disguises handy.

"DO NOT TALK TO THIS MAN. IF APPROACHED, CALL FOX NEWS OR YOUR LOCAL NEWS CORP-OWNED STATION IMMEDIATELY."

"In less than a month, a first grader can become a first grenader."

Hilarious.

Yeah.

The first punking shown on "Who is America" is always going to have been Bernie Sanders.

I don?t see the big deal. Isis probably would have left him alone. That was the whole point of the self-defense training.

He sucked at impersonating a Chinese tourist though. Very unconvincing.

He has all ready not been elected back to office anyway.
