Columbus lost with 2.3 seconds left tonight in regulation.

Good loss for the Wings. I think if the Wings get 2 more wins they are in, based on everyone else's schedule.

I think your right... 92 points looks to the the number... Hopefully we can lock it up soon... Nothing seems easy for the Wings though this year.....

Another mind-bender for you hockey fans out there. Let's say the season ended today, and the #8 Columbus faces #1 Boston. Now what if Columbus beats Boston, and then goes on to win vs. the 2 or 3 seed in the Atlantic Division. Then Columbus would be champion of the Atlantic Division, and would face the champion of the Metropolitan Division. But ... they're IN the METROPOLITAN DIVISION. Does this logic (or perhaps lack of it) bother anybody? So what I'm saying is, a #7 or #8 seed has the potential to win the division of the wrong division.

Yeah not sure how the new playoff system is ay better then just the top 8 in each conference... Not sure I like it.. In fact I don't..

It may take 93 points with the look of NJ's schedule..

One more point in the next three games locks up a spot in the playoffs...

I can't believe we are 1 point away from being in. A lot of people have bitched about Babcock in previous seasons but I think without a doubt he should be coach of the year. IF the voters look at the roster from day 1 to now I think most wouldn't believe that they are in the playoffs.

Perhaps I will shave soon and grow a Red Wings beard, starting on the first day the Red Wings are in a playoff game. I guess the Red Wings have to get at least 1 pt from the next three games for me to shave!
