Wisenhunt Fired

The saddest part of all this is that the Dolphins fired their coach after a miserable start just three games into the season. The Titans fire their coach after a 1-6 start.

And with the decades of losing... this team, OUR team, has not fired it's coach when he's the one guy people expected to be fired on Monday.

It's amazing what a playoff appearance will buy a coach in Detroit.

What?! Philbin has been the coach in Miami since 2012 I believe. The Whiz has won 3 games in 1.5 years. I'm all for firing Caldwell now, but at least he came in here and won 11 games right away. That's the only reason why he isn't gone yet IMO...

And I still argue that this team won in spite of him, not because of him.

Regardless, man. They still won 11 games under Caldwell his 1st year as HC in Detroit. He gets some rope, but that rope is getting tighter by the minute. And Caldwell saved his own ass last week after firing 3 coaches on his staff. He doesn't do that and he's gone today as well....guarantee it.

Caldwell didn't fire anyone. He may have done the deed but Mayhew or Marha told him to.

The only reason he is still here is because the other idiots were already fired. There are only so many coaches you can fire mid-season. Someone needs to run the clown show. I am just hoping they clean house at the end of the season.

That's the HC saying "It's not my fault" and you can't fire your best QB. Yes, definitely Luck has sucked this season.

Lets see, Matt H. 2-0, Luck 1-5. And yet it's the OC fault.

You have ZERO proof of that. Story is that Mayhew or Martha had nothing to do with it. That's the story...

Andrew Luck needs to send that dude a hooker and some blow. Maybe even nice bottle of scotch. He's owes him that much after the shit show he's put on this season.

Luck has been disastrous this year. Doesn't help that his OL is atrocious though

Still praying for John Harbaugh. Lions should offer him or any high quality coach about 5x the current highest coach salary, plus incentives for winning a fucking playoff game and a bonus for equal to a years pay if he wins a Super Bowl.

There is no cap for coaching salary, open up the fucking vault damn it. Fuck, even Bellicheck might have a price he can't turn away from. I don't care if it is a 9 figure salary, get a fucking winning coach and any GM they demand. So fucking tired of the shitshow.

Problem is, while the relationship is becoming strained between ownership and John Harbaugh, he's still under contract for several more years. You can't just throw money at him, Baltimore has to get rid of him.

That having been said, send a second round pick to Baltimore for him. Coaches can be traded as we saw with Gruden going to Tampa for a 1st rounder.

Our second rounders don't play anyway, and when they do, they fumble, so who cares if we lose one for a good coach.

If Ravens continue losing (with Steve Smith going down that potential is increased), the strain will grow. Will it be big enough to let him go? Maybe. Add in the trade bait, might be enough to be considered.

Of course the Ravens would then be needing a coach, so they need to consider who is available that might be better than JH in their opinion.
