Would you cheer for Weaver?

Weds. nite, Jered Weaver vs the Rangers, if that game determines home field advantage to you want Weaver to beat the Rangers and maybe take the ERA title away from Verlander? I would hope the Angels would win 10 - 8, that would be perfect but if he has to beat them 1 - 0, I would want him to do it, I think home field, plus playing Boston or Tampa, is very important this year. What if the game means nothing, do you think Weaver would go out, throw 3 shutout inning, which would put him percentage points below Verlander in ERA and leave the game, I could see that little shit doing that :(

I actually didn't dislike him until his bitch-fit against the Tigers. I will definitely root for the Angels, but obviously don't want him to pass Justin in ERA. Hopefully he gives up 3 or 4 and they still win.

A 2 ER run 7 IP start would give it to Verlander and still give the Angels a chance to win.

While the triple crown would be nice, I'd rather have home-field for round one. Those are just numbers, and anyone with a brain knows that Verlander has had one of the most dominating seasons ever, despite dropping to 2nd in ERA. He's still first in a ridiculous number of pitching categories. I will be rooting fully for the Angels...

Give me home field. While it would be nice for Weaver to implode, I would rather have the Angels win. The Angels won't have anything to play for, so I don't think they will be giving maximum effort on season getaway day.

Not to worried about home series. Nor do I care about what Weaver does tonight. If we do go n the road, the benefit is we get a GB Fister on the road, and Scherzer at home where he excels.

Didn't think about that. I would like to avoid the Rays. I would rather have the Yankees right now.

I know some of saying we best the Rays last time blah blah blah, but we barely won those games. The offense isn't too scary but that pitching is hella good.

I hope the rangers score 5 earned runs off of weaver, and then the angels win late.

Ill take 3 ER and there is nothing to worry about....unless Weaver pitches more than 15 innings.

One measly 2 run bomb should do the trick.....c'mon TEXAS!!!!

Knowing Verlander (not personally of course, but from what I read) he will be following every pitch of that game.

BUT, if Weaver manages to grab the ERA lead back from JV....that out to piss him off just enough to make him take it out on whoever we play in the playoffs. I'm thinking Kenny Rogers '06 kinda performances.

Since you are giving us a choice, I root for him to give up 3 before registering an out at which point he says/does something wrong and gets ejected. Only to watch his team come back and win the game without him.

True.

It's a tough call really.

The playoffs are largely a crapshoot, so I don't really care who we play.

This team is good enough to beat anybody. Home field or not, I don't really care. Just go out there, take care of business, and it won't matter.

Big news out of Anaheim. Garrett Richards will get the start Wednesday vs Texas in place of Jered Weaver.

Chatwood will start tonight (not Santana) and Richards tomorrow (not Weaver). Weaver just needed to record 4 outs without allowing an ER and he would pass Tigers Verlander for ERA title.

Weaver's scratch tomorrow clinches AL Triple Crown for Verlander. But it also makes Rangers road to 2nd seed less formidable.

HFA would be nice, but you know what? I could care less. I think if we had to go to New York we could spank them too. Whatever happens, happens.

Thats messed up, just because the shoe was on the other foot in 2009 when ozzie rearranged his lineup so his ace would face the tigers, & he had absolutely nothing to gain, except maybe a future with the twins. This is basically the angels helping the rangers. Cmon angels, "good teams dont get swept at home".
