What if you were bleeding profusely from a severed artery? You'd still go to church and bleed to death?

at least the Lord would be so pleased with your devotion that you'd definitely go to heaven.

ha, when I was born, we still had a black and white TV, with no remote control.

I think my parents were anti-tv or something and tried to make it as inconvenient to watch as possible.

Remote control in my home was "Hey kid go turn the channel."
