I agree. This is a better, more entertaining matchup than Georgia Tech would have been.

Playing in the other team's back yard isn't ideal, but is nothing new for Big Ten teams in bowls.

It's a tougher matchup but we would get the potential for a big win, Baylor may be a little down after not making the playoff. It's just stupid to change the rankings so you can get a better tv matchup, either that or they decided to screw one big ten team since they elevated another. it could have something to do with the $$$ for payouts, they traded OSU in the final for in exchange for bumping MSU down

Back in a day - even when I first started following college football, about 45 years ago - the Cotton Bowl champion often won a national champion crown.

It meant an extra $6 Million for the conference. Think Delaney made a call. Apparently if we were in the Orange a B1G team couldn't be in the Citrus. It's not in the up and up and I don't like it in principle.

We do end up in a bigger bowl against a top 5 team for more money. Also get to play in Cowboy stadium which is supposed to be bar none the best facilities in the world. Love playing NYD over NYE too.
