Do the Yanks play dead to keep the hated BoSox out of playoffs?

They'll play what they'd normally would do having wrapped up home field. IMO. So they'll get their rotation setup etc.

Yesterday, they could have sent Jeter or Arod up with the bases loaded. Instead they sent a rookie batting .231 to the plate against Papelbon. The guy struck out. He had no chance. A hit, walk, etc could have won the game. Girardi elected not to send in the A-team to try and win the game.

Joe has said he is setting his team up for the playoffs the next few games.... I think they lay down verses the Ray's..
