the "blue dogs" were basically moderate Republicans... hawkish on foreign policy, domestic surveillance, war, spending, but they didn't go full-idiot like Tea Partiers.

you're basically liberal in every way, shape, and form, except you take more pains than the rest of us to eschew labels & remain civil with teh Tea Party (which will prove to be impossible for even you).

Yeah, but some of that is messed up how it's aligned. You'd think it would be big Government lovers that are pro-domestic surveillance.

There are people that actually want a small government in all ways (who are crazy) and then there's the rest of us "small" government people that differ in what our exceptions are. My exceptions make me look like a liberal, but mostly, that's because I see big business as just as dangerous as big government.
