Apparently the 2 got into it some time last week. Titus isn't allowed back until the team let's him. Big deal or not?

#Lions WR Titus Young is not allowed back at Allen Park until the team decides to have him back #NFL

I think it's a fairly big deal...normally they just chalk it up to high intensity and tempers, but I've never seen a team ban a player from coming back..

Looks like he punched Delmas when he wasn't looking...What a coward.

what the fuck? why would you do that to your own teammate? want to settle it with some 1v1 drills, fine, but to sucker punch your teammate? i can see why the team as a whole has to be okay with letting him back on. i'm sure they will, but it might take a few days.

any word on what sparked it? other than delmas got the better of young obviously.

i thought it was willie young v delmas when i read the title thread, as i could just picture delmas going after a guy that much bigger without a second of hesitation. lol

I hope its nothing. They both could be huge pieces to our future. And I really like Young. The prospect of CJ Nate Titus and Broyles is a scary 4 wide set.

They had a confrontation, and when Delmas wasn't looking, Young punched him.

Hopefully its just one day. Does no good to have a young WR sitting on his ass and not participating.

I remember the poor-man's Desean Jackson comparison when he was drafted....looks like that evaluation is not limited to the football field

I wonder if the Lions had concerns about his maturity (or lack thereof) before this incident happened. They did just draft Broyles in the 2nd round, who knows if it was to replace Burleson in the near future or if they were worried about Titus's persona.

I wouldn't read too much into this.

I wouldn'ty worry too much about it. The suckerpunch bothers me a bit. Young does have a temper and we've all sen it (Saints game). This is more like a timeout right now. The Lions are handling this perfectly. When he comes back, you sit him down and tell him that they will not put up with this shit.

I heard on ESPN 96.1 that it's likely the Lions are sitting Titus until he apologizes to the team. Which shouldn't be more than a couple days. They want him to mature a little, since he's had problems in the past (New Orleans and at Boise St.)

And Tulloch is going to sit out until June because of tendinitis in his knee (again according to Chris McCosky on ESPN 96.1)

Even when the team is above average...it's still a clown show.

Not trying to validate Young's behaviour by any means but Delmas does appear to be a bit of a chirper and I'm guessing he was probably the person who initiated it.

I'm just glad our 2 biggest young offensive stars (Stafford and Megatron) appear to have a good head on their shoulders. Still, I shudder to think at how undisciplined this team would be if we didnt have veterans like Vandenbosch and Burleson doing their best to keep everyone in line.
