Sept 17th @ ND

first time beating that assclown Kelly since his 1st yr at ND but he tried like hell to keep the streak alive.

Big win, played great football for 2 3 quarters. There's still work to be done but enjoy this one.

A win is a win, and a win over a ranked ND team is still going to look pretty good on our resume. That said, I'm taking two things from this: first, when playing aggressive this team can be very good; second, Dantonio is always going to go conservative if we have a lead.

The fact that we beat up on ND before the playcalling gave up shows me at the least that this team has the talent and drive to play with anybody. The fact that we basically played totally vanilla until ND nearly tied the game isn't that surprising, even if it is incredibly frustrating. Hopefully Dantonio pulls his head out of his rear in future games of this ilk, but I won't count on it. As the toughest games on our schedule are likely to be close anyway, it shouldn't really come up.

As bad as the Terry run was the last two plays we ran were great. Ballsy play calls that worked.

This is part of what makes it so frustrating. We could have gone play-action pass sooo many times and it would have been like playing catch in the backyard. At the same time, hitting a couple of those forces the defense to actually respect the pass on future drives, giving the team a better chance of actually getting first downs with just runs.

Quick fact, MSU has won 7 of the last 10 games we were underdogs. I can't think of another program that can claim anything close to that.

I'm not so sure it will be a great resume win. haven't seen NDs schedule but they've lost 2 already and one of them was to a bad Texas team and the other to at the very least, an inconsistent Spartan team.

clearly, it's better than a loss but there is still a lot to be sorted out for this team and the coaches.

That was a great win. Prevent defense almost prevented us from winning, but we dominated that game save for the 4th quarter.

The O line is huge, mean, and athletic. ND didn't sniff O'Connor most of the game. We had 500 yards of offense. D line made a huge leap from the last game. We should have kept blitzing and being aggressive, I think we win that game by 25 if we do.

Big game next week, but this team is on the way to big things again.

Can we talk about the Terry play late in the 4th...I mean who calls this shit??? That has to be the worst call I've ever seen. I'm still scratching my head over that one.
Can we have terry passs the ball just once? I mean we've been setting up that play for 3 years now. It's bound to be open.

isn't Houston like 6-1 as dogs or against teams ranked higher or something like that?

We are saving the pass when we are up 30 on Indiana.
