The Lions have traded for OTs Greg Robinson and signed Cyrus Kouandjio to try and help fill the void left by the shoulder injury to Taylor Decker.
To make room for them, long-snapper Jimmy Landes and tackle Arturo Uzdavinis have been waived.

It's a smaller thing in the Greg Robinson & Cyrus Kouandjio acquisitions,
but the cut of Jimmy Landes likely means Don Muhlbach has won the long-snapping job in Detroit. Again. He's the team's longest-tenured player.

Jim Caldwell said the team got answers about Cyrus Kouandjio's tumultuous offseason and that they believe those issues are behind him.

Lions HC Jim Caldwell said they haven't talked with Anquan Boldin recently. Said "never say never" but they are also happy with what they have. Definitely didn't close off the possibility.

Both Greg Robinson and Cyrus Kouandjio were at Lions practice Thursday but did not participate. They were acquired this morning.

Interesting Lions stat: According to ESPN stats and information, the team has two of the top five players in penalty yardage accrued over the last two seasons, CB D.J. Hayden (233 yards) and OT Greg Robinson (204 yards). Neither was with the Lions last year.

The Lions ran a shorter practice with a lot of half-speed drills the final day of minicamp. Practice went around an hour before players wrapped up to head home for six weeks. A long list of players not participating in the final day: RB Theo Riddick; WR Jared Abbrederis; OL T.J. Lang, Taylor Decker,
Cyrus Kouandjio, Greg Robinson and Corey Robinson; DE Armonty Bryant and Jeremiah Valoaga; LB Tahir Whitehead and S Don Carey.
Antwione Williams and Mike James returned after not practicing Wednesday.
The Lions next practice in late July at the start of training camp.
