Game 14: Bears @ Lions *Saturday* Thread

Pregame Matthew Stafford update: No tape on his fingers. Throwing fine. The Lions QB should be good to go against the Bears. He's 317 yards from his seventh straight 4,000-yard passing season. He also needs 14 yards to be the first quarterback under 30 to hit 34,000 passing yards.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford has 3 consecutive games w/ a 75+ completion percentage.
Tom Brady is the only QB in #NFL history (at least 25 attempts) with more (4).

Looks like Joe Dahl is going to get the call at LG and Corey Robinson (as expected) at RT based on warmups. It's a big opportunity for Dahl, who played a little bit of everywhere in the preseason. Could be the start of a 2018 audition for him.

Theo Riddick played every snap of that drive at running back. Had three carries and a catch. Seems like he's getting the chance to be the starter.

Matt Prater's field goal was No. 242 of his career, pushing him into 45th place all-time by himself, passing Chris Bahr and Josh Scobee. Next up is Jim Breech, who had 243 field goals from 1979 to 1992.

Per ESPN Stats & Info, Matthew Stafford now has 10 batted passes. That ties for most in the NFL.

Two quick notes: This is only the third time this season the Lions have led after the first quarter, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Also, Matt Prater's second field goal of the day is No. 243 of his career, tying him with Jim Breech for No. 44 all-time.

T.J. Lang is questionable to return with a foot injury. Lang had been dealing with that for a few weeks. He's been replaced by Don Barclay.

The Lions have been creative with their celebrations all season long. On Saturday, after TJ Jones' first touchdown of the season, a group of five Lions players -- Theo Riddick, TJ Jones, Marvin Jones, Eric Ebron and Golden Tate -- stood in a kickline together and mimicked the famous Rockettes kickline with it being the holiday season and all.

That was Theo Riddick's first lost fumble since 2015. But it is costly to the Lions as it gave the Bears a field goal after what had been a pretty strong half for Detroit overall.

Not a bad first half for the Lions. Matthew Stafford has continued his strong play with a 75.2 completion percentage and the defense has held Chicago to 90 total yards. The offensive line, with all second-stringers at their position other than left tackle Taylor Decker, have allowed one sack and two quarterback hits and Detroit's run game is averaging 5.9 yards per carry. Overall, it was one of the better halves the Lions have had in over a month.

T.J. Lang OUT with a foot injury and Theo Riddick is questionable with a wrist injury.

Matthew Stafford eclipsed Tony Romo in career passing yards in the third quarter Saturday shortly after becoming the youngest QB to hit 34,000 yards.

TJ Jones, who caught a touchdown earlier Saturday, was injured on the punt coverage there. He has three catches for 26 yards today along with his score.

good win vs bad team. Slay with a couple gifts from shitbisky. Diggs is ballin. Not much else tip get excited about. Stafford played well enough.

Disappointed that they couldn't get to Trubisky with the Bears playing musical guards due to injuries
