I watched the interview before the Mcdonalds game and she answered some questions for him sitting there like an attorney. The last question was about Joshs peers saying "hes the biggest trash talker . She snapped at the interviewer and was pissed, they cut the interview right after. I felt good for about a week that he was a sure commit but something was fishy. Its been a real piece of shit month in college basketball, something were not overly used to.

I think that's just speculation, but the silence means something. Also, miles bridges said that he thought all along that it was msu, even when he said Josh told him where he was going.

After this saga I had to laugh in that article written awhile back, I think in the freep, where she talked about how messed up the world of college basketball recruiting is. Gee, I wonder why. She is certainly correct but not sure she's the right person to be pointing that out. There's not much that comes out of her mouth that doesn't reek of hypocrisy. Jackson obviously would have been a huge addition, but without him we still have an insane class. Langford is better than bridges IMO although Bridges is a better athlete. If we had just gotten those two we would have been ecstatic most years. But we got Winston and Ward on top of them.

It's possible to be super excited about the class we are bringing in and at the same time be pissed about the JJ situation.

I guess Izzo and the staff walked away from JJ a few years ago thinking they'd never win Apple over. Jackson kept on the staff, telling them that he was very interested in MSU so they pursued him again. All of the positives were from Jackson, but with mom it was an over my dead body type situation. We should know more after Jackson signs his LOI, then the insiders will give more of a scoop on this

If he is 19, as I had read previously he doesn't even need his parents for the LOI does he? Could a parent still even hold that over their head?

I agree that he should determine where he goes, he's going to be a top pick regardless. I'd bet he's 60-40 MSU, Kansas is still a great basketball program though his friends aren't there and he didn't grow up cheering for them. I'm sure he takes the path of least resistance and goes to his #2 out of 300+ programs to choose from

fyi no LOI signed yet, if he doesn't sign at the end of the period I'd be really worried if I were a Kansas fan. I don't think there's a chance that his mom signs a LOI for MSU, she supposedly hung up on Magic Johnson an hour before the announcement but he could end up at Arizona. You have to sign your LOI to be able to practice with the team and get your room and board paid for in the summer and also be covered by health insurance.

I feel bad for the kid too, but only to an extent. You're 19 years old and will be a multi-millionaire in 12 months no matter where you play next season, or even possibly if you don't play at all. You're the one with all the leverage, not mom. Grow a pair and take charge of your own life.
