    Have a look at Ohtani's contract. They are selling their future away in a much larger way than the Cabrera contract, with even more risk involved. It makes more sense for a team that has most of the other pieces in place, but it doesn't make sense for the Tigers as they are put together now.

    That doesn't really yield anything, except a huge salary dump. The replacements in our system haven't shown any clear promise. Navigato has some nice streaky hitting; I'm sure they are evaluating him.
