2013-14 season prediction thread

Seeing as I haven't posted in this thread yet.

7-9 with a 2nd half collapse

Odds are you could make this same prediction every year...you just need to fluctuate a 7-9 record with a 6-10 record every other year.

Week Date Opp
1 9/8 vs. Min W
2 9/15 @ Ari W
3 9/22 @ Was L
4 9/29 vs. Chi W
5 10/6 @ GB L
6 10/13 @ Cle W
7 10/20 vs. Cin L
8 10/27 vs. Dal W
9 Bye Week
10 11/10 @ Chi L
11 11/17 @ Pit L
12 11/24 vs. TB W
13 11/28 vs. GB L
14 12/8 @ Phi L
15 12/16 vs. Bal L
16 12/22 vs. NYG W
17 12/29 @ Min L

7-9

nice job from Tom predicting the 2nd half collapse lol.

My thing is getting off to a good start will be tough with starting 4 of 6 on the road. And when the lions don't get off to a good start...they fold. Folding during a tough 2nd half schedule wouldnt be good.

nice job by Hughes predicting the "fold"

I'd wish that we could beat the Bears twice. That would count as a successful season in my book. Other than that, if they can manage to play "mistakes to a minimum" football, I'd be pretty ok with however the record turned out............provided they win at least 6 games.

beat the bears twice but the "mistakes to a minimum" didn't happen.....not sure if this was a successful prediction from Coel lol.

Nobody got anything right. Nobody knew shit. Lions failed that's it. If you expected that and now bragging about it. Well then fuck you for being a terrible fan. I wish I could fire some fans.

The crappy Lions need all the fans they can get. I'm sure you optimism really means something to the liedowns.

When I said the Lions would finish 7-9, and they did, that makes me right.

I wish we could fire ourselves, why can't we stop watching this joke franchise..every year it's always the same we see light at the end of the tunnel but it's always a freight train

3rd place behind a mccown led bears team and a Flynn led pack is just sickening. Toss in a loss to the queens without AP. The team isn't any good.....

Wait, u mean they didn't finish 19-0 the way I predicted???

You pulling' my leg, I know they won them all. You guys must have had some oddly synchronized dream where they somehow lost games... talk about a nightmare for y'all.

Looking forward to Lions having last pick in upcoming draft but pulling off the strongest draft EVER nonetheless!!!

I love the pure AWESOMENESS of the Lions! RRROOOOAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

So if the Lions had gone 11-5, then you had a lucky guess and shouldn't gloat over it?

Nope. I would have been happy they won and that is it. People being happy they went 7-9 just because they "called it" is stupid. The only reason hughes posts is to tell people the Lions suck. Not an actual Lions fan.

Every single one of those predictions is just some random gut feeling based on the schedule at the time. So many things happened that we didn't know would happen causing the 7-9, not someone's gut feeling for future events.

Do you pay attention to what's going on? No one is happy about 7-9. No one is happy they predicted correctly. It's pathetic that this franchise has sucked for so long..

I have paid attention and hughes has been doing this shit since before the Lions tanked.

the point is nobody gives a shit if you called it. Nobody really knew, it was a wild ass guess.

But now we move on with a top 10 pick and new coach. See if they can fix the turnovers and Staffords "problems"

+2 yesterday and 66% for Stafford. Yet loss without Calvin and Pettigrew.

Why does the Oline suck ass everytime Calvin is out. 5 sacks in both games.

They didn't have Peterson or Gerhart. Their 3rd guy ran over 100 yards. We lost to a shifty Vikings team. The CJ being out would not have changed a thing.

Are you serious? Calvin didn't matter? You have to be on drugs.

If CJ and Peterson both played it wouldn't have mattered. CJ played in 14 games and lost 7 of them. He might be the best but you don't won or lose because of a WR. They had injuries to plus Casell...lol.

Actually it wouldn't have mattered for the Vikings with Peterson. They had a good running day wihtout him. Calvin mattered the most. Lions score 30 points with Calvin playing. Calvin not limited Week 16 they make the playoffs.

And the Waddle injury killed our running game. Plus we could get into Houston and Bentley injuries too. Plus Carey which moved Mathis inside which put Greenwood on the field. Did he get beat for the winning TD. Remind me?
